In Pokémon GO the next egg event has started. This time it’s all about fossil Pokémon that you can now find in 7 km eggs. We will show you which Pokémon are worth getting.
This was announced: Effective immediately, Niantic has revised the egg pool of the 7 km eggs. All old Pokémon have been removed and replaced with fossil Pokémon.
Now, some rare Pokémon await you in the 7 km eggs that you could only previously get in 10 km eggs.

What is now in the eggs? Niantic has released the complete list of the 7 km eggs. So, the following Pokémon are now waiting for you:
- Amonitas*
- Kabuto*
- Aerodactyl*
- Liliep*
- Anorith*
- Koknodon
- Schilterus
- Galapaflos
- Flapteryx
The Pokémon with a star (*) can also be hatched as Shiny.
Which Pokémon are particularly interesting? Particular attention should be paid to Galapaflos and Flapteryx. The two Pokémon are from Generation 5 and are extremely rare in the wild. Especially Flapteryx is likely to be missing for many players.
The two monsters were also previously in 10 km eggs, but they were quite rare there.
It remains to be seen how rare the two Pokémon will be in the 7 km eggs now, and whether hatching will be worthwhile.
How long will the event last? This is not yet known. Niantic says that Professor Willow is currently researching the eggs and that it can only be said later how long the fossil Pokémon will remain in the eggs.
Is hatching worth it now? In terms of usability, especially Koknodon should be interesting. Its evolution, Rameidon, is one of the best Rock attackers in the game.
The evolution of Schilterus, Bollterus, is one of the best Pokémon in the PvP Super League.
In the end, the question remains as to how rare Galapaflos and Flapteryx are in the eggs. If they are found significantly more frequently in these eggs than in the 10 km eggs, then it is advisable to focus more on the 7 km eggs.
What happens to the other egg pools? All fossil Pokémon will be removed from the other eggs. You can no longer hatch them there. Conversely, Riolu will be moved from the 7 km eggs to the 10 km eggs. You will still be able to hatch this Pokémon.
All the baby Pokémon, such as Wonneira, can currently not be in eggs at all. So, if you are still hoping for a Shiny there, you will have to wait until the end of the event.
