In Pokémon GO the event surrounding the legendary lake trio has started. We show you all the field research, spawns, and new raid bosses here.
This is the lake event: On November 24 at 8:00 AM the lake event began. It puts the legendary lake trio, Selfe, Tobutz, and Vesprit, in the spotlight and increases the spawn rates of other Pokémon appearing by lakes.
In line with the event, there are new shinies, quests, spawns, and raid bosses. We will give you an overview here.
Field Research, Shinies, and Spawns for the Lake Event
These are the new quests: Overall, there are 4 field researches that revolve around the new event. These include:
- Use 5 berries when catching Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Chelast, Panflam, or Plinfa (all can be shiny)
- Catch 5 Water-type Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Goldini (can be shiny)
- Win a raid
- Reward: Encounter with a Bronzel (can be shiny)
- Send 3 gifts to friends
- Reward: Encounter with a Staralili
The task surrounding Goldini is worthwhile. It can be completed quickly during the event and brings the new shiny, which everyone is currently hunting.
These are the event spawns: There aren’t really any surprises in the wild. Worthwhile spawns include Goldini, Machollo, Enton, or Schlurp. They can all be shiny and are rather rare outside of events.
Of course, there are also duds in the event, such as Staralili or Bidiza.
These are the new shinies: There are also no surprises here. Shiny Goldini is new to the game and catchable by every trainer. However, there are no other new shinies. For Shiny Goldini, you also need to look closely:
Raid Bosses for the Lake Event
These new bosses are available: In line with the event, there are also new raid bosses that typically appear around lakes.
Every Pokémon marked with a star can also be encountered as shiny.

In Germany, you can only find Vesprit as the legendary raid. For the other two bosses, you need worldwide friends to invite you.
