In Pokémon GO the 7th generation will probably be released soon. Dataminers have now found important changes. The announcement might follow this weekend.
What is it about? Trainers in Pokémon GO eagerly await the release of the 7th generation. It includes 88 Pokémon in the Alola region PokéDex and would offer trainers the chance to search for and catch many new monsters for their collection.
The release might be closer than previously thought. Because dataminers have just made an important discovery.
7th generation release soon? What’s new
This was found: On reddit user martycochrane shared a list of PokeMiners. These are dataminers who regularly check the game’s code and look for changes.
The post states that “all Pokémon of the 7th generation” have been pushed forward – including the Ultra Beasts.
Note: The Ultra Beasts are the mysterious Pokémon Nihilego, Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Kartana, Celesteela, Blacephalon, Poipole, Naganadel, and Stakataka.
Additionally, the dataminers state that all Pokémon currently know the move “Last Resort”, which apparently is a placeholder for the actual moves.
What do the Pokémon look like? On reddit user neko_13 showed an overview of the Pokémon with their English names a few years ago at the release of the 7th generation. We’ll share the gallery here:
Noteworthy:
- The Pokémon Lusardin (Wishiwashi) has different forms for “Solo” and as a swarm.
- All forms of Meteno (Minior) have been considered. This includes the meteor form as well as the forms Red Core, Orange Core, Yellow Core, Green Core, Light Blue Core, Blue Core, and Purple Core.
- Mimikyu (Mimikyu) has three forms: Normal, disguised, and revealed.
- Necrozma has a normal form, an Ultra form, the Dusk Mane form, and the Dawn Wings form.
- Magearna has a normal form and forms for the original colors.
When is generation 7 coming to Pokémon GO?
This is the big question that is currently in the room. When will we receive official information from Niantic regarding the 7th generation? Looking at recent events, the announcement could already be right around the corner.
On February 27th is Pokémon Day. The official Twitter account of Pokémon Japan tweeted an image showing that there will apparently be news about Pokémon GO on February 26th. Until now, it was assumed that the news would revolve around the Johto Tour, but now trainers suspect that on that day the release of generation 7 in Pokémon GO will be announced.
What are the chances? It is possible that Niantic grabs the announcement just before Pokémon Day to reveal the new Pokémon. During the Johto Tour, it would be a celebration for the players who are already in the hunting fever, and the news would spread quickly within the community.
That the dataminers have now made these finds clearly indicates that Niantic is working on a release. Whether it actually happens as “soon” as all the indications suggest is hard to say. So, you should maintain a certain skepticism.
