The new Rocket Event in Pokémon GO brings some strong Crypto Pokémon. We explain which ones are particularly worthwhile.
What kind of event is this? The new Rocket Event Stolen Treasures
starts on January 27th at 00:00 and ends on February 1, 2024, at 23:59. This event brings, among other things, some new Crypto Pokémon into the game.
Among the new Crypto Pokémon, there are some extremely strong Pokémon that are worthwhile for raids or the battle league. We have listed which Pokémon are particularly suitable for what.
Strong attackers for raids and the battle league
Which Crypto Pokémon do the Rocket bosses have? There are changes among the Pokémon of the Rocket bosses. The bosses will have the following Crypto Pokémon from the beginning of the event:
- Sierra: Crypto-Tentacha *
- Arlo: Crypto-Kindwurm *
- Cliff: Crypto-Zubat *
All three Pokémon can also appear as Shiny.
Which Crypto Pokémon from the Rocket bosses are particularly worthwhile? All three Crypto Pokémon that the bosses have newly are strong in different areas of the game. While the evolution of Crypto-Kindwurm, Crypto-Brutalanda, is one of the best dragon attackers in Pokémon GO, the other two Pokémon have their strengths in the battle league.
While Crypto-Golbat, the evolution of Crypto-Zubat, can score points in the Super League, you can evolve Crypto-Tentacha into Crypto-Tentoxa, which can prove its strength in the Hyper League.
Which Crypto Pokémon are in the Crypto Raids? In the Crypto Raids during the event, you will encounter the following Pokémon:
5*-Crypto Raids
- Crypto-Ho-Oh * (only available from Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 06:00 until Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 22:00)
3*-Crypto Raids
- Sichlor *
- Panzaeron
- Golbit
1*-Crypto Raids
- Alola-Sandan
- Kramurx *
- Tannza *
- Glibunkel

Which Crypto Pokémon from the Crypto Raids are particularly worthwhile? Crypto-Ho-Oh is a versatile Pokémon. It is a good fire attacker as well as a very good flying attacker for your raids. In the Master League, you can also use it very well, although the redeemed variant performs better here.
Also for Panzaeron, the redeemed form performs better than the Crypto variant. This is true if you want to use it in the Super and Hyper League, where it is strong to very strong. If you evolve Crypto-Glibunkel, you will also get a good Pokémon for the battle league with Crypto-Toxiquak. This Pokémon is worthwhile for the Hyper League.
Finally, we should mention Crypto-Sichlor from the Crypto Raid Pokémon. If you evolve it into Crypto-Scherox, you get a solid steel-type attacker that you can use in raids.
Which Crypto Pokémon from the Rocket Grunts are particularly worthwhile? There are also new Crypto Pokémon among the Rocket Grunts. Here is an overview of the Pokémon you should pay special attention to. Particularly noteworthy are two Pokémon: Crypto-Chelast and Crypto-Panflam.
- Crypto-Chelast: Evolves into Crypto-Chelterrar, which is one of the best plant attackers in the game.
- Crypto-Panflam: Can become Crypto-Panfermo, a strong fire attacker.
- Crypto-Plinfa: Its evolution, Crypto-Impoleon, is a solid water attacker if you want to use it in raids.
- Crypto-Krebscorps: Its evolution, Crypto-Krebutack, is also a reasonably good water attacker.
- Crypto-Schneppke: Of the two evolutions that Crypto-Schneppke has, at least Crypto-Frosdedje performs decently in the Super League.
- Crypto-Glibunkel: Has, as already mentioned, quite a good evolution with Crypto-Toxiquak for the Hyper League.
- Crypto-Kastadur: The evolution of Crypto-Tastadur, Crypto-Tentantel, is at least an acceptable Pokémon for the Super and Hyper League battle leagues.
- Crypto-Lithomith: Unfortunately, it is only useful for collecting.
