Pokémon GO has announced the new event “Let’s Go on an Adventure”. This includes not only the new Toxel but also some legendary Pokémon.
When does the event take place? “Let’s Go on an Adventure” runs from Monday, November 18, 2024, to Friday, November 22, 2024. It is essentially the preparatory event for the big wild area in Pokémon GO that follows shortly after.
Introducing Toxel: The baby Pokémon Toxel will appear for the first time during this event. You can hatch it from eggs, as you would expect from baby Pokémon. Specifically, it can hatch from 10-km eggs. So, you’ll need to walk a lot to get a Toxel.
Its shiny form will also be available right away. Here, you will need a lot of luck.
What makes Toxel special? Toxel brings a unique type combination. It combines the Electric type with the Poison type, a combo that only one other Pokémon has: Riffex, the evolution of Toxel.
Riffex is also the truly exciting Pokémon. Riffex comes in a High form and a Low form. Which form Riffex takes after evolving depends on its nature in the main games. This is something that does not exist in Pokémon GO – how the evolution will be carried out remains to be seen.
Riffex also comes with a Gigantamax form. This form will also appear for the first time at the wild area event. However, it can be assumed that only Riffex specimens that have been obtained in such a battle can gigantamax. So, do not assume that your Toxel will evolve into a Riffex that can achieve a Gigantamax form, let alone a normal Dynamax form.
In battles, Riffex will score points mainly due to its type combination. It remains to be seen how strong it actually becomes in raids and PvP. However, it is clear: It will have serious problems against Ground Pokémon. So, you should also secure a Dynamax Rotomurf. That will be a good counter against Gigantamax Riffex.
What does “Let’s Go on an Adventure” offer additionally?
Legendary Pokémon: In addition to Toxel, several other interesting Pokémon will appear in the event. On Monday of the event period, Dynamax Monday will take place, and then each day at 6:00 PM there will be a raid hour with a legendary Pokémon:
- Anego on November 19
- Kapu-Riki on November 20
- Dialga in its primal form on November 21
- And Palkia in its primal form on November 22
Primal Palkia and Primal Dialga can also master their adventure effect attacks with luck. All four Pokémon can also appear as shiny with luck.
