Last Saturday, players were able to determine the monster for the upcoming Community Day in Pokémon GO. Although Niantic finally left the choice to the players, there was still much criticism.
This is how the voting went: On Saturday, at every PokéStop, you could find the quest “Catch 20 Pokémon”. Behind each task was Dratini, Vulpix, Machop, or Rhyhorn. So you should look for the quests that show the Pokémon you want to have. You should ignore the other field research tasks. The quest that was solved the most in the end won, and that Pokémon will have a Community Day on February 22.
While many trainers liked the idea of such a vote, there was still much criticism. There were claims that there were too few quests for some Pokémon.
Players demand different voting options
This is what is criticized: Already on Sunday, the community of Pokémon GO was quite vocal that some quests for Pokémon were significantly rarer than others.

Players report that they found only a few quests for their favorite in their area, while particularly many tasks for other Pokémon were available.
A thread on reddit on this topic has over 1800 upvotes. The author uses the title “Please never do a voting like this again”. Below, many players agree and express similar sentiments.
Which Pokémon is most missed? If you look at summaries from players , it is often the Rhyhorn quest that was found the least. This frustrates trainers, as in our voting, Rhyhorn was the most desired.
This is why such voting is bad: Trainers criticize that it has a lot to do with luck. If you have only a few stops to choose from, you really have to hope that the right quest is included.
Are there other suggestions? Often it is suggested that one could do a special research that allows a choice of which Pokémon to vote for every time after catching 20 Pokémon.
This would also prevent the field research that was completely inaccessible last Saturday from being blocked.
