Necrozma will appear in Pokémon GO. It seems, according to data mining, that its fusion ability will also be introduced in the game.
What is Necrozma? Necrozma is a powerful Psychic-type Pokémon from the seventh generation. The Pokémon was announced for GO Fest 2024 and will debut as a raid boss there.
Necrozma is closely related to the Ultra Beasts, as well as Solgaleo and Lunala. In the main games, Necrozma can also take over these two monsters or “fuse” with them.
And after recent data mining, it seems that this feature will also be introduced in Pokémon GO.
Data mine points to fusion for Necrozma in Pokémon GO
What you need to note: The portal “Pokémon GO Hub” reported on data mining from groups like the Pokeminers. They search the game’s code and find hints in the data about which features could come in the future.
Important: Just because this data can be found in the code does not mean that it will be activated. The exact way in which they will be used in this case is still open. So keep in mind: It is possible that the following features may appear significantly later, not at all, or in a different form.
According to current information, data mining points to the following features, according to “Pokémon GO HUB”.
Regarding “fusion”:
- It seems that two monsters can apparently fuse into one. For example, Necrozma and Solgaleo result in the new form “Dusk Mane”. Necrozma and Lunala, on the other hand, yield “Dawn Wings”.
- This system could also be used with other monsters, such as Kyurem or Coronospa, which currently does not exist in Pokémon GO.
- The special forms of Kyurem have even appeared accidentally in Pokémon GO.
- It may be possible to undo fusions whenever desired (via Pokémon GO Hub).
- Additionally, a new resource for fusion is expected to be needed. This will probably be comparable to Mega Energies or Proto Energies.
Regarding Necrozma itself: Possible new information about Necrozma has also been found. Apparently, both the Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings forms could get their own special moves, possibly in the form of a new adventure effect (via Pokémon GO Hub).
Additional points about Necrozma include:
- Necrozma is expected to have strong stats, but no completely ideal moveset. Currently, it seems to be missing a charge move of its type, making STAB damage not possible.
- The fusion versions could be stronger as they will likely be able to use their special moves.
- The Ultra form of Necrozma could also come as a very powerful monster (via Pokémon GO Hub). This form is created in the main games when Necrozma absorbs a large amount of light.
It remains to be seen how the monster will ultimately be implemented in Pokémon GO. Given that it will be one of the main attractions of this year’s GO Fest 2024, it is likely to receive one or two special features.
