In Pokémon GO there has been a new wave of EX Raid invitations. These are supposed to take place next week. Have you received an invitation?
Those who want to catch special monsters in Pokémon GO have the opportunity in EX Raids. In these rare boss battles, players can currently face Mewtwo. However, one must receive an invitation from the game to participate.
These special raids have been tested for a few weeks now. New invitations were distributed just a few hours ago.
Invitation to Mewtwo Raids on November 26
In the new wave of invitations, both beginners and experienced trainers will receive a ticket for the battle against Mewtwo. According to initial reports, the new invitations are available worldwide. The battles will take place at sponsored and “regular” gyms.
As a requirement, we know that one must have successfully raided at the gym where an EX Raid takes place beforehand.
Players are wondering how the selection for invitations is made. Is it random, or is there more behind it? Niantic remains silent about it. So far, the EX Raids are still in a testing phase.
How long Niantic intends to maintain this testing phase is unclear. Since hardly anything changes in the raids (the raid time window is again 45 minutes), it is not known what the developers are still testing. Just recently, the Pokémon GO team stated that some improvements are supposed to be made to the EX Raids.
And where are the promised news?
A few days ago, Niantic stated that they want to make an announcement for the trainers this week. Many players are eagerly waiting for it – after all, we are approaching the end of the week.
