In Pokémon GO a new event has been announced. And it brings not only familiar and a new monster but also strong bonuses for you.
What kind of event is it? The event “Heartwarming Buddy” starts on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM. It runs until Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 8:00 PM.
During the event, you can find many Pokémon in raids and even more in the wild, some of which also benefit from a strong bonus. Additionally, you can catch Moruda for the first time in Pokémon GO.
Heartwarming Buddy – All event content
How do I obtain Moruda? Moruda, the ghost and plant Pokémon from the 7th generation, can be obtained in Pokémon GO for the first time during the event. You can find it in 3-star raids, where you can challenge, defeat, and catch it.

- Digda*
- Flegmon*
- Muschas*
- Dummisel*
- Remoraid*
- Mantax*
- Plusle*

- Illumise*
- Wommel*
- Imantis*
All Pokémon marked with a * can also appear as Shiny.
Digda and Dummisel have an increased chance of appearing in their Shiny form during the event.
Which Pokémon can be found in raids? Not only Moruda awaits you in raids during the event. There are various Pokémon that you can challenge during the event.

What bonuses are there in the event? You can look forward to some strong bonuses during the event:
- Lures last for one hour when activated during the event
- Lures can also attract Digda, Flegmon, Muschas, Dummisel, Wommel, and Imantis
- 500 extra Stardust when catching Digda, Flegmon, Muschas, Dummisel, Wommel, and Imantis
- Double experience points when catching Pokémon
Especially the additional Stardust available for some Pokémon that you can catch in the wild and through lures might be interesting for you. Here you have the opportunity to earn a significant amount of extra Stardust.
What other content is there in the event? During the event, you can also find field research tasks. Here you can earn Stardust and encounters with the Pokémon Zwieps.
Additionally, you can once again look forward to collector challenges, where you can earn Stardust and Ultra Balls as rewards. PokéStop showcases are also included in the event.
