The attack Frustration
could be removed in the Rocket event at Pokémon GO, but now it blocks better moves again. However, there is a workaround to still get a strong move.
This is happening in Pokémon GO: Recently, there was a so-called Rocket takeover in Pokémon GO, where you could not only encounter numerous thugs and bosses but also forget the move Frustration.
What is Frustration in Pokémon GO? Every Crypto Pokémon has this move by default when you free it from the clutches of a Rocket member. Unfortunately, this move is not only very weak, but it also usually cannot be removed – unless you purify a Crypto Pokémon. Then it will also lose the Crypto attack bonus.
To keep the bonus and replace the move with a better one, events like the recently concluded Rocket takeover are needed. Then you can delete the move with a TM and replace it with another. However, this option is currently gone until the next Rocket takeover.
But even outside these events, there is a way to equip your best Cryptos with at least a better move.
How to get a strong move without a Rocket takeover
How to add a move: Outside of the event, it is not possible to forget Frustration, even with a top TM. However, you can take a small detour to at least get a strong move for your Pokémon.
Through the option Learn new move
, you can simply teach your Pokémon an additional charge move – even if they are Cryptos and know Frustration.
This way, Frustration does not disappear, but you get a second move slot that you can then influence with a TM or even an Elite TM. In many cases, a powerful charge move is enough to make your Pokémon one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
Examples include the new Crypto-Knakrack, but you can find more candidates here: 16 Pokémon worth forgetting Frustration.
Are there any downsides? Yes, because unlocking a second charge move costs you candies of the respective Pokémon and also a significant amount of Stardust – the amount varies depending on the Pokémon you want to use.
Moreover, learning new moves for Cryptos costs more than for regular Pokémon. You should carefully consider whether you want to make a move change as soon as possible, or whether you prefer to wait until the next Rocket event. When that will be is still open.
By the way: If you want to quickly search your collection for Pokémon that know Frustration, just type @Frustration
into the Pokémon search.
Which Pokémon have you already removed Frustration from? Tell us in the comments! Otherwise, there will still be a Spotlight Hour this month – the dates will be shown here.
