In Pokémon GO, an event has started in Berlin. According to Niantic, there are more Ursaring and Teddiursa available to catch at the ITB fairgrounds.
This is the mini-event: On Twitter , Niantic announced this small event is only taking place in Berlin. The reason is that Niantic is represented at the ITB in Berlin, which is why they are hosting a small event.
In addition to some bonuses, Teddiursa and Ursaring will particularly spawn more frequently in the wild.

What the mini-event in Berlin entails
Where the event takes place: This event takes place only in a small part of Berlin. The event is located on the entire fairgrounds of the International Tourism Exchange, in the western part of Berlin. Once you are outside this area, you will not receive any bonuses.
These are the bonuses: If you are at the fairgrounds, you will receive the following bonuses:
- Increased Teddiursa and Ursaring spawns in the wild
- Lure modules last for 4 hours
- Four times Stardust (There is double dust on the grounds and additionally double dust during the battle event)
How long does the event last? The event is already live and runs until March 10. Niantic did not provide a specific time.
Why are there Teddiursa? Niantic did not explain why there are more Teddiursa and Ursaring. However, it can be assumed that it is related to the Berlin bear. This is the city’s animal symbol, and the bear is often associated with Berlin.
Are there shiny Teddiursa? There are not many reports about the event yet. So far, no player has caught a shiny Teddiursa. If this happens, we will update this post here.
Are there Incognito? Niantic often has Incognito spawn at smaller fairs and events. This was also the case at MAG in Erfurt last year.
Four days ago, a player reported on Reddit that they caught a T-Incognito in Berlin. This would fit quite well with the letters of ITB. However, since then no other player has caught a matching Incognito in Berlin.
It remains to be seen whether this catch was coincidental or whether there are indeed Incognito spawns on the grounds. We will also update this post for you.
Is this event worth it? Based on current knowledge, this event in Berlin is rather weak. Anyone who is on their way to Berlin or lives in Berlin should definitely check out the ITB. After all, there is four times Stardust available.
Without a shiny and without the Incognito spawns, such an event is not very interesting for those coming from afar. In this case, the time investment is not worth it.
