Mewtwo is now available as a Pokémon GO-Stadium Raid Boss in Japan. First images of the legendary monster can be found here.
That was quick. This morning we reported that Shiny Mewtwo is in the code of Pokémon GO and that the stats of this monster have been changed. Now Mewtwo can already be found as a Raid Boss at the Pokémon Stadium event in Japan. We have the first images of the Pokémon, which has nearly 50,000 CP.

Mewtwo Released in Pokémon GO
Just a few minutes ago, we received the first images of Mewtwo at the Pokémon GO event in Yokohama. The Pokémon GO Stadium event is taking place there and offers a special surprise for the trainers on site. Mewtwo has been released as an exclusive Raid Boss for participants of the spectacle.
There are also familiar faces from the Pokémon GO community on site in Japan – the YouTubers Trainer Tips and Mystic 7. Both shared the first encounters with the cool Raid Boss on Twitter. Presumably, their YouTube channels will also soon feature the first videos of the battle. We are very excited about it! Until then, we must be satisfied with the following screenshots.
In the tweet from Nick (Trainer Tips) we see a close-up of Mewtwo as a Raid Boss. This is the normal variant and not the shiny variant of Mewtwo that we show you here.

After the battle, it’s time to catch again. According to initial information from trainers at the event, Mewtwo has a 100% catch rate there.
Whether and when Mewtwo will be released here is currently uncertain. There is no official information from Niantic about this yet. We will closely monitor the topic and inform you when we know more.
