When does the Raid Day take place? The Raid Day with Mega Scaraborn takes place on April 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Why you shouldn’t miss this: Mega Scaraborn has the potential to become the best bug attacker in the entire game. Additionally, it is expected to serve as a decent fighting attacker as well.
Furthermore, it is generally a great opportunity to get the regional Pokémon Scaraborn. It usually only appears in South America, the Caribbean, Central America, and in the southern parts of Florida and Texas, apart from special events. During the Raid Day, you have a good chance to get it. If you don’t have Scaraborn in your Pokédex, you should join.
And: You have an increased chance of shiny Scaraborn if you catch it during the Raid Day. This is likely to be particularly interesting for shiny hunters.
All Content and Bonuses for the Raid Day with Mega Scaraborn
Here we summarize the most important information in an overview.
The most important bonus: During the event, you will receive up to five additional free Raid passes from gym photo discs. So you don’t need to buy extra passes and can participate in multiple raids for free. Additionally, the remote raid limit will be increased to 20 on this day.
Another interesting bonus: If you complete the raid with more than two trainers, more Pokémon are said to appear in the vicinity of the gym for 15 minutes. However, it is still unknown which Pokémon this will be.
In general, Mega Scaraborn should be easy to defeat with the right counters, possibly even solo. It is particularly weak against flying attacks. Mega Rayquaza could be a powerful option.
Additionally, there will be further offers in the shop for the event. This includes an event ticket for 5 US dollars (likely comparable to euros), which gives you eight additional Raid passes, an increased chance of XL candies from raids, 50% more XP from raids, and double raid stardust. But: This ticket is optional; you do not necessarily need it for Raid Day.
