The new masterwork research “A Valuable Throw” offers you a Master Ball in Pokémon GO. But what does the paid research require?
How do you get the research? The new research became available with the launch of the season “Valuable Paths”. However, it is not a free research.
Instead, you have to purchase it in the shop for 8.99 Euros. The rewards for the research are a Master Ball and 30 reward points in the GO Pass. Additional rewards come at the intermediate steps.
The Master Ball is the strongest ball in the game and catches any Pokémon.
The research can be bought between December 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM and February 10 at 8:00 PM. After that, it does not expire and you have time until you finish.
But what does the research look like? We summarize all the known steps so far.
Masterwork Research “A Valuable Throw” – Step 1
The masterwork researches are known to be quite challenging and very time-consuming. As of now, only the first step of the research is known. How many there will be in the end is currently unknown.
The first step looks as follows:

| Use 150 berries when catching Pokémon | 15 Razz Berries |
| Land 100 good curveball throws | 2500 Stardust |
Stage Reward: After completing the first stage, you will receive an encounter with Wailmer and an additional 2,500 XP.
