In Pokémon GO , the special research “All in one … No. 151” was released in February. However, no one has been able to complete it weeks later. Therefore, Niantic has now released an adjustment.
What kind of quest is this? On February 20, the Kanto Tour started. Along with it, the new special research “All in one … No. 151”, for which we have created a guide was released.
The special research is quite complex and consists of four parts. Already in the second part, you had to catch at least one Pokémon on 30 consecutive days. However, another task presents a significant hurdle.
For that, 151 different PokéStops should be spun. And that is exactly what Niantic has now adjusted.
What is new? In the future, only a total of 151 PokéStops will need to be used. The change does not affect the existing progress of trainers, as no one has caught 30 Pokémon in a row yet, since the quest has not been available for 30 days.
Why was this change made? There is no official reason given for the adjustment. However, there has been quite a bit of criticism regarding the task.
- On one hand, players from villages and regions with few PokéStops complained that they simply do not have the opportunity to visit 151 different stops.
- On the other hand, there are still lockdowns or at least movement restrictions in some countries due to the Corona pandemic. Going around specifically for so many PokéStops is not possible for everyone.
Some players looked forward to “special challenge”
How are the reactions to the adjustment? While users from uninhabited regions see the change very positively, some users are also disappointed by this adjustment. They were looking forward to a real Pokémon adventure:
- The user Sausageinthebedroom writes: “This is likely to be an unpopular opinion, but I was quite excited about the challenge of finding 151 unique stops. We (UK) are slowly coming out of lockdown, so I can explore areas I didn’t know before. But I can imagine that many players do not have access to 151 stops, so this change was probably necessary.”
- Well-thats-great also agrees: “I was really looking forward to finding a route that would include 151 unique stops, so this is a disappointing change for me personally – I like challenges.”
What do you think of the adjustment? Do you come from a region with many stops, or would you have had to drive through Germany for it?
