Today trainers are supposed to defeat legendary bosses in raids. We will keep you updated with the current bosses, counters, and all other information. You can find the general info overview for the GO Fest here.
In the Pokémon GO Facebook group, you can also share your impressions with us. But for now, we wish you lots of fun with the GO Fest 2021!
Pokémon GO Fest 2021 – Day 2, Sunday
6:00 PM: And… that’s it. The GO Fest 2021 has come to an end, celebrated with a new song in the background. We hope you had a successful event and caught some cool monsters!
We will conclude the live ticker here. Thank you for following along! All other information about Pokémon GO will be available here on MeinMMO in the coming days.
5:30 PM: By the way, if you’re wondering what the giant egg in Chicago was all about – here’s the answer:
5:00 PM: One last raid hour starts again. It’s back to the “Thunder” area, with monsters like Rayquaza, Zekrom, or Kobalium.
4:45 PM: Slowly but surely, we are approaching the end of the GO Fest 2021. If you want more special spawns, you should throw a smoke now and see if anything cool appears.
4:00 PM: The second batch of bosses is forever done – only two left. It’s back to the Frost area. Make sure to pick up your remote raid passes. The free ones in the shop are only available until 6 PM.
3:20 PM: While my girlfriend cheerfully ticks off her legendary collection list, I just had a legendary boss escape from me for the third time. You can tell: my concentration while throwing is fading after one and a half days of GO Fest. But a little more than two hours are still left!
3:01 PM: Let’s move on to the Lava hour. The fiery Pokémon are just waiting to be caught. Here’s the overview of the counters again:
Pokémon GO brings only today 37 legendary two raid bosses – Use counters
2:45 PM: So many raids, so little time. Time is ticking, and the wind hour is over. Somehow, the checklist I neatly wrote down is still not complete. Well.
2:30 PM: Half an hour left, then the wind bosses are done for now and won’t appear anymore. Are you missing one? Then strike now.
2:00 PM: Half-time and restart are the order of the day, as we return to the wind hour. If you haven’t quite gotten started this morning, you can make up for it now.
1:45 PM: Sometimes Pokémon can be quite stubborn when it comes to staying in the ball. My experience has shown as well – his GO Plus was not suited for the event at all.
1:30 PM: This hour can lure in exciting Pokémon. All the more bitter, when that Pokémon escapes. Tip: Adjust the circle to be as small as possible and wait until the monster has finished its attack. Then throw the ball – this gives you a good chance for strong throws that won’t be blocked.
1:00 PM: And now the Thunder hour is bringing some of the best attackers. These monsters are involved:
12:40 PM: Despite the presumably many remote raids, the servers are holding up today. Last year, it was a bit different. Speaking of remote raids: To get Selfe and Tobutz, you need invitations from other regions, as they only appear in certain locations around the world. So don’t be surprised if you don’t see them in raids here anywhere.
12:15 PM: What are your favorites of this hour? Kyogre is a very good attacker that you should secure. And Palkia you haven’t run into often.
- Kyogre (Counter Guide)
- Palkia (Counter Guide)
12:00 PM: And continue with the counterpart to the Lava hour – the Frost hour. These monsters are on board:
11:48 AM: If you are looking for the right counters, use our overview.
11:30 AM: Against Yveltal, rather Electric or Fairy monsters are recommended. Lavados can also be taken down well with Rock Pokémon.
11:15 AM: Generally, you can take down all these monsters with Water counters. However, there are exceptions where other counters are more effective.
11:00 AM: Enough wind, lava is now on. Accordingly, it will be fiery – with these monsters:
10:45 AM: Remember: If your raid team is too small, you can invite more trainers via remote raid. 3 free passes are available in the shop.
10:27 AM: During the wind hour, some strong monsters are on their way for raids, gyms, or PvP. These include Mewtwo, Cresselia, or Giratina. If you want to build strong teams, consider using these Pokémon:
10:15 AM: Of course, that works too!
10:07 AM: With that, the new special research “strange rings” has also started. The first step offers you a Lucky Egg. It can be worthwhile if you want extra XP from raids. You can also get 8 remote raid passes from the limited research.
10:05 AM: We are starting with the wind hour. The following monsters are featured in the raids:
10:00 AM: And thus, the second day of the GO Fest 2021 kicks off.
9:57 AM: Three minutes left. To give you a full overview of the bosses, we’ve summarized all the bosses for you here – including counters!
9:30 AM: We are steadily approaching the start of the big raid day. What are your favorites? Rayquaza, Dialga, Reshiram – or something else entirely? Let us know in the comments!
9:15 AM: The new special research about the Pokémon GO Sunday will also be available from 10:00 AM. You can find all the content of the new research here. Especially raid passes provide a lot!
9:00 AM: There’s still an hour left. If you haven’t figured out which legendary Pokémon you want to catch today, we have a little overview for you: Find out which legendary bosses are worth it on Sunday here.
8:45 AM: By the way: If you are currently still taking snapshots before the event, you have the chance to get your event Pikachu again. This should work until 10:00 AM – afterward, other Pokémon might appear.
8:30 AM: The rings are now visible in the game’s sky. Legendary raids are drawing closer!
8:20 AM: The story will revolve around the mysterious Pokémon Hoopa, which appeared after the first day’s end on the loading screen. It is known for its space-bending rings that can act as portals. And through them, the legendary Pokémon are expected to appear today.

More special research for the GO Fest 2021
8:10 AM: On the second day, there will also be another small special research available for all trainers, even without a ticket. Pokémon GO announced this on Twitter. It is supposed to explain why the legendary monsters are suddenly everywhere.
8:00 AM: Good morning! There are still two hours of preparation time, then the GO Fest, Day 2 starts. This time it’s all about legendary raids – but there’s already a lot to report!
Pokémon GO Fest 2021 – Saturday
7:00 PM: A quick note: With today’s tasks, the next Ultra Bonus “Space” has also been unlocked. Just the third section is missing!
6:02 PM: We are saying goodbye for now! Tomorrow, we’ll continue with new energy. Have a nice evening!
6:00 PM: And that’s it! The clock strikes 6:00 PM and thus ends the first part of the GO Fest.
Eight hours with changing spawns are over. Hopefully, you caught some cool monsters!
And tomorrow it continues seamlessly. The GO Fest Sunday tempts with legendary raids.
5:45 PM: The big performance at the close of Day 1: Meloetta awaits you at the end of the research. After that, you can still get more bonuses – for that, you’ll need new friendships. You can also find those in the Pokémon GO Facebook group – the link can be found above the ticker!

5:20 PM: A last time for today, the bonus has been reached. Now, there are XP for great throws again. With lucky eggs, you can double them again.
5:02 PM: How’s it going for you on the shiny front? For me, it’s been quite thin – but I’ve heard others had luck:
5:00 PM: And the final stretch. One hour is still ahead and requires great throws from you. Good hits, win lots of XP – you know the game from the first round of Cave Habitat!
The collector’s task:
- Zobiris
- Zubat
- Kiesling
- Skorgla
- Wattzapf
- Trasla
- Fleknoil
- Tanhel
- Flunschlik
- Gelatini
4:22 PM: And there’s the bonus! Use Sananabeeren to double the 5 Extra Candies – then you can quickly accumulate some candies.
4:02 PM: The task once again consists of catching 16 million Pokémon. If that’s achieved, you’ll get 5 extra candies per catch! With Sananabeeren, you can further increase it.
4:00 PM: 6 hours of GO Fest are over – step goal is definitely achieved today! But back to the essentials: Pokémon are to be collected.
- Karpador
- Wailmer
- Schallquap
- Lampi
- Barschwa
- Kanivanha
- Zapplardin
- Marill
- Mamolida
- Wablu
3:35 PM: During the special research, snapshots need to be taken. If there are any problems, here’s the solution to the snapshot task!
3:14 PM: That went quick! So many stops have been spun that the bonus becomes active. As a reward, we’re allowed to… spin even more stops. But with that, there’s more XP!
3:03 PM: We now need to spin PokéStops again. Let’s see how long the community takes this time! As a bonus, more XP awaits at the Stop.
3:00 PM: And we’re moving on – back to the Desert Mountains! Here, these monsters are to be collected:
- Fukano
- Kleinstein (Alola)
- Stollunior
- Pionskora
- Tuska
- Knacklion
- Panzaeron
- Schilterus
- Hippopotas
2:44 PM: I thought that monsters like Kapuno or Kaumalat would be hard to get. But it turns out, my personal nemesis today is Glibunkel for the collector’s task. Where are you, frog?!
2:30 PM: This took a bit, but the next bonus has been unlocked! There will be extra Stardust until 3:00 PM.
2:15 PM: How far are you with the research? Have you reached the next choice yet?
2:03 PM: Additionally, we need to feed berries again, 2,600,000 in total. As a bonus, there are again 500 bonus Stardust.
2:00 PM: Half-time, trainers! And back to the jungle. We remember, the collector’s task is:
- Serpifeu
- Rettan
- Bummelz
- Panflam
- Tangela
- Sichlor
- Griffel
- Igamaro
- Glibunkel
- Loturzel
1:30 PM: We see: The great throws are currently really worth it. Over 10,000 XP can be earned per throw – theoretically. It really hurts when the Pokémon breaks out of such throws…

1:19 PM: And Kapuno is now also on the loose in the wild. This should be one of the most exciting hours of the day!
Now collect a lot of XP
1:17 PM: The bonus has been activated. Now you can pocket a lot of XP per throw – especially great throws are bringing in a lot right now. By the way, a lucky egg is also worthwhile right now!
1:05 PM: The new task meanwhile is to throw great throws. Pokémon GO wants to see 5.5 million from us. The reward: Quintuple catch XP for good, great, and excellent throws as well as curveballs. This is really good for leveling up!
1:00 PM: And the next hour has begun. We are entering the Cave Habitat. The following task awaits us.
Cave Habitat – Collector Task
- Zobiris
- Zubat
- Kiesling
- Skorgla
- Wattzapf
- Trasla
- Fleknoil
- Tanhel
- Flunschlik
- Gelatini
12:50 PM: We are approaching the end of the Water hour. A kind man with two smartphones just passed by me and explained: “That way, the shiny chance is double.”
Can’t argue with that! Have you had any luck with Shinys? Tell us in the comments.
12:20 PM: Especially with Pokémon like Karpador or Wailmer, the candy bonus can be worthwhile – after all, they need 400 for evolution.
12:05 PM: And the 10 million are cracked! From now on, there will be 5 Extra Candies for each catch until the end of the hour.
If you use Sananabeeren now, you can grab a lot of candies. This is also a good option for raids like with Mewtwo!
You can find the best Mewtwo counters here.
12:01 PM: Now it’s catching time because the global challenge asks for 10 million Pokémon caught worldwide. If successful, there will be 5 Extra Candies per catch – that’s worth it!
12:00 PM: New hour, new habitat! We are leaving the Desert Mountains and heading to the Seashore. Here, quite predictably, water Pokémon will be caught. And these also determine the collector task:
Habitat Seashore – Collector Task
- Karpador
- Wailmer
- Schallquap
- Lampi
- Barschwa
- Kanivanha
- Zapplardin
- Marill
- Mamolida
- Wablu
11:50 AM: It is worth mentioning positively: So far, the GO Fest 2021 is running quite smoothly. Last year, there were technical problems from time to time – let’s hope that the event continues smoothly throughout the day.
11:30 AM: While you are hunting through the habitats, there are also some raids to complete. Among other things, costumed Pokémon are included – and of course, Mewtwo is also on the move.
11:22 AM: The global challenge has been completed again! Bonus XP for stops is now active.
11:10 AM: Have you had any luck with cool spawns or Shinys? A few new ones, such as Ohrdoch, are on the move today!
11:03 AM: And the global challenge is: Spin PokéStops and gyms, 2,600,000 of them. As a bonus, there are 500 additional XP for spun PokéStops.
11:00 AM: So, enough jungle! We are moving away from Kokowei, Loturzel, or Panflam and heading to the Desert Mountains. And accordingly, there’s a new collector task:
Habitat Desert Mountains – Collector Task
- Fukano
- Kleinstein (Alola)
- Stollunior
- Pionskora
- Tuska
- Knacklion
- Panzaeron
- Schilterus
- Hippopotas
10:50 AM: The jungle habitat is still active for 10 more minutes. That also leaves ten minutes to collect extra Stardust. Also, don’t worry about the collector task if you’re still missing Pokémon: The jungle habitat will return at 2:00 PM.
10:34 AM: If you completed the first stage of the research, you can choose: Are you more of a rocker or a star-type today?

10:20 AM: And the first global challenge has already been completed. The 2 million berries were apparently no problem. Now, there’s extra Stardust for each catch – at least until the hour is up!
