In Pokémon GO the Timed Research “Happy Wishes” is running for the Lunar New Year event 2023. We show you all the tasks and rewards and what the three different paths offer.
What kind of research is this? The Lunar New Year event 2023 brings a lot of content and bonuses. Among this content is a Timed Research where you can determine one of the rewards. The research is active from January 19 at 10:00 AM local time and lasts until January 23 at 8:00 PM local time.
We show you here in the overview all tasks of the “Happy Wishes” research and which Pokémon and item rewards you will receive. We also show you which possible paths you can choose and what the rewards for them look like.
Happy Wishes 1/2
| Task | Reward |
| Catch 5 Pokémon | 15 Pokéballs |
| Spin 3 PokéStops or Gyms | 10 Ultra Balls |
| Use 5 Power-Ups on Pokémon | 2 Silver Pinap Berries |
Stage Reward: If you complete all three tasks and collect the respective rewards, you will receive an additional 500 Stardust, 500 experience points, and a lucky egg.
Select a Path
After completing the first chapter, you can choose one of three paths.
- Yellow (Egg Hatching): The required distance to hatch eggs is halved
- Red (Daily Incense): The Daily Adventure Incense lasts twice as long
- Blue (Catch Stardust): You earn twice as much Stardust for catching Pokémon
By making a choice, you determine a bonus for yourself, but also one of the tasks and a reward for the next chapter. Take a look at them so you can decide which path best suits you and your playstyle.

Stage Reward: If you successfully complete all tasks and collect the respective rewards, you will also receive an encounter with Flampion*, 25 Hyper Balls, and a reward based on the path you chose.
- Yellow Path: An Egg Incubator
- Red Path: 10 Golden Razz Berries
- Blue Path: A Star Piece
