What kind of research is this? In Pokémon GO, a Research Day event is taking place today, June 3rd. During the three-hour event time window, you can encounter certain Pokémon more often, have a higher chance of selected Shinies, and there are small changes at Golden PokéStops. In our overview of today’s Research Day, we show you all the content.

Gold Search 1/2

Stage Reward: If you successfully complete all 5 tasks and collect the respective rewards, you will receive an additional 1,000 Stardust and 2,500 experience points.

After the first chapter, you should now choose a path. Available options are Surskit, Shroomish, Spiritomb, Caterpie, and Magikarp. Depending on your choice, you will receive 10 additional tasks that reward you with the corresponding Pokémon.

Gold Search 2/2 (Caterpie Path)

Stage Reward: If you have successfully completed all tasks and collected all rewards for them, you will receive an additional encounter with Caterpie.

Gold Search 2/2 (Magikarp Path)

Stage Reward: If you have successfully completed all tasks and collected all rewards for them, you will receive an additional encounter with Magikarp.

Gold Search 2/2 (Surskit Path)

Stage Reward: If you have successfully completed all tasks and collected all rewards for them, you will receive an additional encounter with Surskit.

Gold Search 2/2 (Spiritomb Path)

Stage Reward: If you have successfully completed all tasks and collected all rewards for them, you will receive an additional encounter with Spiritomb.

Keep in mind that the Shiny chances for these 5 Pokémon from field researches and also from the Timed Research are increased. With a bit of luck, you can secure a few shiny specimens.
