Is the move worth it? Definitely. Earth Power is a strong ground move and deals significant damage. With this attack, Dragonair will catch up to the best ground attackers.
Pokémon like Groudon, Excadrill, or Rhyperior will still remain slightly more effective in raids than Dragonair. However, it will be significantly more useful than before.
How do I get the move? As usual, you will get the special move of this Community Day by evolving Vibrava into Dragonair.
However, you need to catch the right timing: The Community Day runs on Saturday, October 12, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Afterwards, you still have up to two hours to get Dragonair with Earth Power.
The special move is available only if you evolve Vibrava into Dragonair between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
What else does the Community Day offer? You will find Dratini more frequently in the wild. You can also encounter the Pokémon in raids. Additionally, it will hatch from 2-kilometer eggs that you receive at PokéStops during the event.
With luck, you might also encounter a shiny Dratini, whose evolutions will also have the alternative coloring. It can be assumed that on this Community Day the chance of finding a shiny is about 1 in 25.
