In Pokémon GO is now gradually introducing the 5th generation. So far, there has been no legendary Pokémon from this generation, but they are all worth it and overshadow Pokémon from other regions.
These are the legendary Pokémon from Gen 5: The Unova region brings a total of 9 legendary Pokémon into the game. They include:
- Kobalium
- Terrakium
- Viridium
- Boreos
- Voltolos
- Demeteros
- Reshiram
- Zekrom
- Kyurem
Out of the 9 Pokémon, 7 are good for battle. 4 of them are even among the best attackers of their respective types. It shows that almost every legendary Pokémon from this generation is worth its raid passes.
Especially look forward to these legendary Pokémon
The 9 legendary Pokémon can be divided into 3 groups to which they belong. They are:
- Knights of Integrity
- Powers of Nature
- Tao Trio
We will take a closer look at all the Pokémon and tell you which of them will be particularly useful.
Knights of Integrity
Which Pokémon belong here? This quartet consists of the legendary Pokémon Kobalium, Terrakium, and Viridium, as well as the mysterious Pokémon Keldeo.
Which Pokémon will be strong? Regardless of the mysterious Pokémon Keldeo, the 3 legendaries here are the least useful.
Kobalium and Viridium have no good attack value, and especially Viridium has weak attacks. They will not really change the meta of raid attackers. As alternatives in PvP, they might become interesting, but that remains to be seen.
Terrakium, on the other hand, will become very interesting. It has an attack value of 260 and can shine with good rock attacks. It will be the best rock-type attacker after Rameidon.
Powers of Nature
Which Pokémon belong here? This trio is designed around the great powers of nature. They include Voltolos, Boreos, and Demeteros. All of these Pokémon can take on two forms: the Incarnate and the Therian form. Voltolos and Demeteros are better in Therian form, while Boreos is better in Incarnate form.
Which Pokémon will be strong? All Pokémon from this trio will be useful. Boreos, the only Pokémon that is purely Flying type, will be a solid attacker of this type. The downside is that flying Pokémon can’t be used often, and there is strong competition from Rayquaza and Lavados.
Voltolos has an enormous attack value of 295. However, its downside is its weak attacks. It only ranks 5th among the best electric attackers. If it ever gets better attacks, it has immense potential.
The best Pokémon from this trio is Demeteros. As a ground attacker, it will be by far the best attacker since it can also use the attack Earth Power. Groudon falls far behind Demeteros. The legendary Pokémon can also be utilized as a Rock attacker. Due to its attack value and the right attacks, it ranks 4th among the top attackers of this type.
Tao Trio
Which Pokémon belong here? The Tao Trio consists of Kyurem, Zekrom, and Reshiram. Kyurem has three forms, namely white and black Kyurem, as well as the normal form. All Pokémon are Dragon type and have a secondary type.
Which Pokémon will be strong? The Tao Trio is truly impressive and overshadows any other trio already in the game. Especially black Kyurem is incredibly strong and will become the best attacker in the entire game. It eclipses Rayquaza as the top attacker of the Dragon type and even ranks 2nd among ice attackers, although it has no instant attack of this type. This is thanks to its attack value of 310.
Zekrom is not much worse and will become the best electric attacker in the game. Its attack value of 275 surpasses all previously existing Pokémon from earlier generations, and its attacks are also strong.
With Reshiram, the best new fire attacker is coming into play. It has the same stats as Zekrom and possesses strong fire-type attacks. Lavados and other strong Pokémon from Gen 5 look weak in comparison.
When could the first legendaries arrive? Currently, you can find Giratina until October 17 in raids. Afterward, there would be space for a new Pokémon.
