In Pokémon GO, players might soon be rewarded more. Data miners have found a new level in Adventure Sync. However, you have to walk 100 km for this.
What exactly did the data miners find? A Level 4 was found in the weekly rewards. To reach this level, you must walk 100 km.
That seems quite a bit, as so far you were rewarded for a maximum of 50 km. Now you can run twice the current maximum to receive this reward.
Players are excited – if the rewards are right
How is the find received? Especially avid players are happy about the find. 50 km per week was often not a problem, but at 100 km a week, some fans feel challenged.
However, they mainly hope for good rewards. After all, the rewards of the other levels are not that great, so they mainly hope for good Pokémon from eggs. We summarize some opinions from reddit:
- ntnl: “The eggs should contain nothing other than Swablu”
- wandering_caribou: “There should definitely be good rewards. I manage 100 km every now and then, but usually I end up with about 75 km. And running outside is not very rewarding during Canadian winters. But if they would give me Swablu, I would run some long distances.”
- Tronator: “I would do it for a Swablu/Swablu/Cottonee, but not for a Dratini.”
- need20coins: “Cool. 100 km a week is a good challenge. I usually do around 70 km and that would be a good motivation to keep running.”
What is the problem so far with the rewards: A highlight of the current rewards are the 10 km eggs that you receive after walking 50 kilometers. Currently, however, the eggs only contain Pokémon that are not really rare.
Monsters like Swablu, Swablu, or Cottonee are not part of the egg pool. Besides the eggs, there are also stardust and a few other items. For many, however, these are not enticing enough to actually walk the required kilometers.
This might attract many players now: If the rewards actually contain different Pokémon or significantly more and better items, many players could aim for the 100 km as a goal.
When will this reward be implemented in the game? So far, it has only been found in the game files by data miners. However, this means that Niantic could put this reward online at any time.
This reward is also only found in the new Update 0.159.0. This has to be available for every player first. Once that is the case, the reward could be unlocked worldwide.
Pokémon GO could soon become easier in rural areas. Niantic gives players hope:
