In Pokémon GO there is a new leak. Dataminers have found another lure module that could be available soon. We show you what is known about it.
This module is about: Dataminers from Pokéminers have once again searched the code of Pokémon GO. They came across some new features, including a lure module that does not yet exist. They shared their findings with the community via reddit .
The module is called “Rainy Lure”, presumably “Rain Module” in German. We show you here what could happen with this module in Pokémon GO.
New lure module could bring new Pokémon
What this Rain Module could be about: So far, lure modules have also adhered to their names in terms of appropriate spawns. A Magnetic Module, for example, attracts Steel-type Pokémon, and a Glacier Module primarily attracts Ice-type Pokémon.
A Rain Module could, by its name, mainly attract Water-type Pokémon. There is a wide variety of Water-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, so one could catch many different monsters.
In May 2019, Moss, Glacier, and Magnetic Modules were introduced. They attract very specific types of Pokémon and also function as development items for some monsters.
This Pokémon is associated with: In the 6th generation, there is a monster that can only evolve in the console games during rain. This refers to the evolution of Viscargot to Viscogon. So it is quite possible that the lure module will be needed again for the evolution to Viscogon. We already know this from Magnezone or the Eevee evolutions Glaciola and Folipurba.
It is quite possible that the Rain Module will be introduced into the game along with these Pokémon. Previously, there was only a large wave of Gen-6 Pokémon in early December. A next wave could therefore be on the horizon in the coming weeks.
What else have the dataminers found? They have also found numerous pieces of information about a new item: The Route Marker. This item was first found in the summer of 2019 and now there is finally more information about it.
The item is supposed to help draw routes. You can create connections between PokéStops and thus create a route. However, it is still not entirely clear what exactly to do with this route.
What you need to consider: With all these leaks, you should always bring a dose of skepticism. So far, none of the features mentioned here have been announced by Niantic. It may take a while before they are actually implemented. It is even possible that none of this will make it into the game.
Nevertheless, such leaks are a good first insight into the future of Pokémon GO. A large portion of such finds from the past was actually implemented later.
What has already been implemented are the changes regarding XL Candy. You can find these adjustments listed here:
