In Pokémon GO there is a leak regarding the Pokémon for the Community Day in May. According to dataminers, the event in May revolves around Swablu. We will reveal what the leak is about.
This is the leak: On reddit, the dataminers of “PokeMiners” shared their latest findings (via reddit). Test passages around a Community Day with Swablu were found. In addition, a special research for Swablu is expected to take place on May 15 – the day when the Community Day in May takes place.
The clues are clear: In May, the Community Day will likely focus on Swablu. The mystery surrounding this event seems to have been unveiled.
Community Day with Swablu – How could it unfold?
When exactly will the Community Day take place? The date is currently the only thing officially known about the Community Day. The event runs on May 15 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How likely is the leak? If Niantic did not intentionally insert false information into their text files, then the Community Day will indeed feature Swablu. Various files related to this event have been found. A special research, event quests, and the text passage “Community Day: Swablu” speak for themselves.
However, keep in mind that the information has not yet been officially confirmed. We are still waiting for a statement from Niantic that Swablu will indeed be the focus of the Community Day. So far, the leaks from PokeMiners have always been trustworthy and contained no misinformation.
What could happen on Community Day? Bonuses for the event are not yet known. However, in April there was double catch Stardust and in March there were double catch XP. For May, halved egg distance could be possible. These 3 bonuses have rotated regularly, so the egg bonus is quite likely.
An exclusive move is still completely open. Altaria, the evolution of Swablu, is very strong in the PvP league, so there may be a move that makes Altaria even stronger in this league.
Additionally, Niantic promised a new Mega Pokémon for May. This could be Mega Altaria. On one hand, it would fit the Community Day, on the other hand it also fits the big event happening in May. This event is about Dragon and Fairy Pokémon. Those are the two types of Mega Altaria. So the Community Day could also bring Mega energy for Altaria.
How does it look with Shiny Swablu? You can already catch the Pokémon as Shiny now. It will not be completely new for the Community Day. The shiny form of Swablu is golden instead of blue. We can expect an increased shiny chance on Community Day.
