Apparently, the Pokémon for the Community Day in August and the next Battle Day in Pokémon GO are already set. Data miners have stumbled upon the participants of the upcoming events during their “digging.”
What is it about? The Pokeminers regularly scour the code of Pokémon GO looking for changes. Before the developers unlock a new feature or new Pokémon for the players, it usually announces itself in the game’s code beforehand.
Thus, data miners have been able to correctly predict some upcoming changes in the past before Niantic officially confirmed the information days or weeks later.
For this reason, trainers are quite open about these leaks. In the new datamining, information about the next Battle Day and the next Community Day has now been found. It is expected that there will not be a voting procedure like in May this time. The participants are probably already set.
Community Day in August 2020 – Leak
What was found? The code has revealed that Pokémon GO is planning a Community Day featuring Magikarp. It is assumed that this will be the Com-Day in August 2020, as it would be unusual to bring in the code for a later event at this time. However, this is not confirmed and could change.
Among the findings is also a ticket for a special research during the event. Such a ticket provided you with more candies, XP, and stardust for the price of €1 during the Community Day featuring Shuppet.
The Community Day is a monthly recurring event in Pokémon GO. During this time, a Pokémon is in the spotlight and appears much more frequently in the wild. Additionally, there are bonuses and a good chance to catch Shinies.
Battle Day in Pokémon GO – Leak
What was found? Hints for the next “Battle Day” have appeared in the code. Such a Battle Day already took place in April 2020 featuring Marill. This event revolves around the PvP league. In April, the chances to encounter Marill were higher. Moreover, players could perform significantly more battles.
The leak revealed that the next Battle Day will likely feature Pidgey. Additionally, there will supposedly be double stardust for catching Pidgey. However, a date for this event is missing in the leak.

As always, you should take these leaks with caution. The information is unofficial, and it is not guaranteed how or if they will be unlocked in the game.
However, first, another important event is coming up next weekend: the GO Fest 2020. There, you can expect a lot of Pokémon, bonuses, and even Shinies. We show you 6 important preparations to ensure that the GO Fest 2020 is a success for you.
