The upcoming raid boss in Pokémon GO is Kyurem! We provide you with all the information about the release and explain why this Pokémon can be really exciting.
When will Kyurem appear? The legendary Pokémon will make its raid debut on July 7 at 10:00 PM German time. Until then, you can continue fighting Zekrom. How long it will be available is currently unclear.
With Kyurem comes perhaps the best Pokémon in the game, but currently, there is still a catch.
All information about the new raid boss Kyurem
What is special about Kyurem: The legendary Pokémon has 3 forms:
- The normal Kyurem
- The black Kyurem
- The white Kyurem
Initially, we will probably be dealing with the normal Kyurem, which is why we will take a closer look at its stats here.

These are the stats: The normal Kyurem has the worst stats of the 3 forms. Nevertheless, one should not underestimate these stats:
- Attack value: 246
- Defense value: 170
- HP value: 245
- Maximum CP: 3575
With these stats and the strong dragon attacks from Kyurem, it will be a solid dragon attacker, comparable to Dragonite.
Is normal Kyurem worth it? The Pokémon is not bad, but it cannot compete with the big competition, such as Rayquaza. So unless you catch a perfect IV Kyurem, leveling it up is not really worth it.
However, Kyurem’s raids are extremely worthwhile. You can already collect candies diligently since you can also use them for the other two Kyurem forms.
The black and white Kyurem then cast all dragon Pokémon into the shadows. They both have an attack value of 310 (In comparison: Rayquaza has a value of 284) and also possess the best dragon attacks in the game. Here you will be able to catch really powerful Pokémon.
So if you have already collected candies, you can directly level up a black or white Kyurem.
When will the other forms come? This is currently still completely unclear. For example, we are also still waiting for the spirit forms of the “Forces of Nature” trio. It remains to be seen when Niantic will finally bring these forms into the game.
In July, there are also more highlights waiting for you! For example, there are 4 spotlight hours, each focusing on different Pokémon.
