What kind of tasks are these? As with other events in the past, there will be special Field Research tasks related to the event during the Jungle Event. You will receive these at the PokéStops.
When does the Jungle Event take place? The Jungle Event “Secrets of the Jungle” starts today, October 1, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time and lasts until October 10, 2021, at 8:00 PM local time. During this time, you have the opportunity to secure the new quests.
These are the new quests for the Jungle Event
On the occasion of the Jungle Event, there are again 6 new Field Research tasks in Pokémon GO. You get these by spinning the PokéStops. With the help of LeekDuck’s overview, we have looked at which tasks and rewards await you and summarized them for you below (via LeekDuck/reddit):

These quests are particularly worthwhile
Among the new Field Research tasks, the two quests with Geronimatz could be particularly interesting. The Normal and Flying type Pokémon may not shine with particularly strong stats, but it is somewhat rarer to find in the game.
In the wild, it normally does not appear, so you can only find it by hatching 10 km eggs or in PvP rewards from rank 16. And its evolution, Washakwil, is also only obtainable in the game by evolving Geronimatz or through a trade with another trainer.
Furthermore, Geronimatz is also available as Shiny in the game. You recognize it by its brown body. Its evolution, Washakwil, also differs significantly from the normal form in its shiny form due to the blue wings. So anyone still needing a specimen for their Pokédex should definitely take advantage of these tasks.
