In Pokémon GO there is now a raid pass “gift” available that each of you should grab. You won’t get remote raid passes this cheaply again.
What’s new? On the evening of August 31, 2020, a new box appeared in the Pokémon GO shop. It costs only a slim Pokémon coin and gives you three remote raid passes. An offer that every Pokémon Trainer should take advantage of.
So it’s not completely “free,” but you can earn a single Pokémon coin after just a few minutes in a gym or by completing daily tasks that the new coin system in Pokémon GO presents. So it’s practically a gift, and the coin only has symbolic value.
Where can you find the gift? Open the shop in the Pokémon GO game. First, tap the PokéBall at the bottom center of the screen and then tap “Shop.”
Under the first category “free,” where you can find your daily free gift box, you will see the category “limited time only!” There, the blue box with 3 remote raid passes awaits you. It costs 1 coin.
Normally, the package with 3 remote raid passes costs 250 coins, about €2.50.
You should note: The box will remain at the price of one Poké coin until September 30, 2020, at 10:00 pm in the shop. So make sure to grab the offer before you miss out. You can only purchase it once.
Keep in mind that you must have less than 3 remote raid passes in your inventory to secure the offer. If you already own 3 remote raid passes, you must first consume at least one before you can buy.
Why is there the gift now?

To evolve them, you should defeat Mega Raids with Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise. As a reward, you will receive Mega Energy needed for the evolution.
Coinciding with this, Niantic is starting a three-week event on September 1st that focuses on Mega Evolutions. It’s all about participating in these raids. With this raid pass gift from the shop, you have a particularly affordable opportunity to raid remotely with your friends. This way, you have more chances for successful raids and the first encounters with the new Pokémon.
