In Pokémon GO there are currently 7 Ultra Beasts, but these are not all that exist. We look at the missing candidates.
What are Ultra Beasts? Ultra Beasts are special monsters from another dimension that, while not referred to as “Legendary,” are similarly powerful to the legendary Pokémon.
This Pokémon group first appeared in the games “Pokémon Sun” and “Moon” and was expanded in the games “Ultra Sun” and “Ultra Moon.” They are creepy monsters that invade from another dimension and wreak havoc.
In the story of the games, the monster Cosmog as well as its evolutions Solgaleo and Lunala play an important role, as they can open portals to the Ultra Dimension. Cosmog has just reappeared in Pokémon GO, for the event “Day and Night”. There’s every reason to take a closer look at the Ultra Beasts.
Which Ultra Beasts are there in Pokémon GO? Currently, the first Ultra Beast, Anego, is again available as a Raid Boss in Pokémon GO. However, six others followed in 2022. Thus, the previously available Ultra Beasts are as follows:
- Anego
- Masskito
- Schabelle
- Voltriant
- Kaguron
- Katagami
- Schlingking
These seven monsters were released gradually over several months. Then it was over for a while. However, there are still 4 more Ultra Beasts from the games Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon that players are still waiting for in Pokémon GO.
However, these were already hinted at in 2022. We will briefly introduce them to you here.
Muramura
Have you ever been attacked by a wall? Hopefully not, because that can be quite scary, as the teaser for “Muramura” shows. The Steel and Rock Pokémon has very strong defensive stats and can therefore withstand quite a lot.
Kopplosio
The Ultra Beast Kopplosio belongs to the types Fire and Ghost and can make its head explode in a nice firework – which may look nice but is extremely dangerous. The clown-like Pokémon tries to lure trainers with its funny movements before blowing them up – or at least scaring them loudly.
And because that’s not creepy enough, the ghost monster also drains the life force of its victims.
Venicro and Agoyon
These two monsters were presented together in a teaser by Pokémon GO, and for good reason: Venicro is currently the only Ultra Beast that also has an evolution. The small poison monster then evolves into the fearsome, fast poison dragon Agoyon.
Although this monster does not belong to the Bug type, it certainly has something wasp-like with its large spikes. A creepy monster – which Ash in the series did not let stop him from catching and using.
When are these monsters coming? Unfortunately, that is still in the stars, as the teasers have only mentioned “In the distant future” so far. One should probably not expect a release of the missing beasts too soon – even though Cosmog and Anego have just reappeared. Patience is key.
Another mysterious Pokémon is already known to land in Pokémon GO this summer.
