The Halloween event 2022 is just around the corner in Pokémon GO. Dataminers reveal what changes are coming. This includes visual adjustments to the map, for which there is an initial unofficial preview.
What is it about? Every year, a festival starts in Pokémon GO to celebrate Halloween. Ghost and Dark Pokémon crawl out of their holes and can even be found in the wild during the day. Creepy encounters are therefore guaranteed.
Officially, we don’t know much about the event yet. However, resourceful dataminers have discovered in the code what will happen for Halloween 2022.

This was found: In recent weeks, more and more changes have appeared in the code of Pokémon GO, suggesting an upcoming release for Halloween 2022.
In the datamining from October 8 (via reddit), the Pokeminers show changes in the appearance of the game’s map.
Nonetheless, datamining does not necessarily mean that discovered content will actually be made available to players. Keep this in mind regarding these findings.
The analysts note that a Halloween map and a system for thematic customization of maps for future events have been discovered. The changes to the map include the sky, a glow of the moon, the grass, the ground, and more. At stops and gyms, pumpkins can be found. Individual graphics have already been discovered for everything.

The map has an autumnal appearance with brown leaves blowing in the wind. The dark pumpkins can then be found at the PokéStops and gyms.
When does the event start? The Halloween event will run from October 20 to November 1. Niantic has already shared the dates.
Additionally, more assets have been found regarding the Pokémon that will appear.
