In Pokémon GO, new forms of monsters could soon arrive. Similar to Alolan Pokémon, Galar Pokémon might be waiting for you.
What are Galar Pokémon? The Galar region is the area from which the monsters of the 8th generation come. These Pokémon will be released on November 15 with the Sword and Shield games.
This generation will also feature monsters that are already known from previous generations but now look slightly different. Similar to Alolan Pokémon that can already be caught in Pokémon GO.
It now seems that these Pokémon might soon celebrate their release in Pokémon GO, as initial hints have been discovered.
Reasons for Galar Pokémon in the game
This was found: Dataminers have found small passages of text that allude to the Galar region. It relates to a Galar Pokédex.
It’s not the Pokémon themselves yet, but still a hint that something regarding Galar Pokémon could happen soon.
When might more happen? When Sword and Shield are released on November 15, Pokémon GO will probably celebrate a small event around it too. It was similar during the release of the Let’s GO games.
It’s quite conceivable that during this period, some Galar Pokémon will also appear in the game.
Which Pokémon are we talking about? The Galar region has plenty of new Pokémon. There are currently 3 altered forms, as we know from the Alola region:
- Galar Weezing
- Galar Zigzagoon
- Galar Linoone
So far, no other Pokémon known to receive a Galar form.
What does this find mean? So far, dataminers have only found passages of text in the game files. Just because they are there, it doesn’t mean something will happen with them.
It is certainly a hint, but by no means a guarantee that new content regarding this will come soon.
