The current event in Pokémon GO is running until Monday. A great opportunity to secure a powerful monster.
What kind of event is currently happening? This is the Horizonte event. It features the Paldea starters, among others, but some monsters are also spawning.
The event has been running for a few days now and ends on March 11 at 8:00 PM. So you still have time until Monday evening to take advantage of the bonuses and spawns of the event.
And you should catch one of the currently active monsters as often as possible: Tanhel.
Tanhel is currently appearing often in Pokémon GO, and every single catch is worth it
How do I get Tanhel? Tanhel is a Steel-Psychic type Pokémon and is listed as a possible rare spawn in the event announcement. However, you quickly realize while playing that the monster is not that rare at all. Tanhel can appear repeatedly while the event is running.
And this gives you the chance to secure a really top Pokémon. Because otherwise, you don’t get it that often, that easily.
Why should I keep catching the monster? Tanhel evolves into Metang and then into Metagross. And Metagross is simply one of the best Pokémon in the game. In raids, it is always a solid choice unless the boss is particularly resistant to Steel, and in PvP it at least has a place in the Master League. As a Steel attacker, Metagross is generally the top choice, only surpassed by its own Crypto variant.
Metagross offers high stats and can deal brutal damage, especially with its special move Meteor Mash. One downside: You can only get this move during certain events when evolving or by using a Charged TM. Nevertheless, securing strong Tanhel now and evolving them at such a time is a good strategy.
Because you should keep in mind: You need 25 candies to evolve Tanhel into Metang, and another 100 from Metang to Metagross. And if you want to level it up, you should have as many candies as possible available – especially if you want to power up multiple specimens.
So, in short: Click on every Tanhel you find, throw a Berry, and catch it to get as many candies as possible. And with a bit of luck, you might also find a really strong specimen with good stats.

What’s going on otherwise? In Pokémon GO, the new season “World Full of Wonders” has just begun. It started with the Horizonte event, but that is not the only event coming up soon.
