In Pokémon GO the new feature “Party Play” is introduced. This allows a group of up to four players to complete challenges, collect rewards, and use bonuses. We show you all the info.
What is Party Play? Party Play is a new feature where you can form groups of 2 to 4 players. All avatars are then visible together on the map and there are various challenges that you can complete. Additionally, there is a bonus for raid damage.
When is Party Play coming? The new feature launches on October 17. There will be a special research task for you related to the team tasks.
Who can use Party Play? All players with a minimum level of 15. Otherwise, there are no restrictions; you don’t even have to be friends in the game to form a party.
What matters is that you are close to each other. You must stay near the group host to maintain the party.
How does Party Play work? You open the trainer profile where you will find the new “Team” section. There you create your team, share a number or QR code with nearby friends, and start. Your teammates can then select “Join” in the team section.
What advantages does Party Play bring in Pokémon GO?
If you play together, you will be able to use some bonuses that reward your teamwork.
Party Power: The new “Party Power” can be activated in raids and gives you a damage boost on charge attacks. They then deal double damage.
In a presentation of the feature, developers explained that it could be possible to defeat raids that might not be achievable or are very difficult in the group size.
This, the developers said, could be especially helpful in the difficult crypto raids that must always be completed on site.
Team Challenges: As a team, you will receive specific challenges that you must solve together. This is similar to the familiar field research tasks, only that you work together on it.

At the end, you can also compare who contributed how much to reaching the goal. However, this does not affect the rewards; everyone receives the same.
This includes rewards such as Poké Balls for simple and Mega Energy for more difficult tasks. Further rewards remain to be seen.
Challenge yourselves with friends: In general, you can compare values in the “Team Tab” with each other. This includes things like captured Pokémon or kilometers walked.
Are there more rewards? At the launch of the feature, there will be special research that brings you, among other things, Eevee shirts for your avatars.
The feature is expected to be introduced in conjunction with the Halloween event. We show you all the contents of the Halloween event in Pokémon GO here.
