In Pokémon GO a new event has been announced. And it can bring you a whopping 11 rare Shinys – under one condition.
What kind of event is it? The new event is called Fashion Raid Day. It takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. You have only 3 hours to participate in the event.
As the name suggests, this short event revolves around fashion and costumed monsters. A total of 11 will be present on Raid Day. And they also bring an increased chance of appearing as Shiny.

Which monsters are they? On Fashion Raid Day, you can find and challenge the following costumed monsters in raids:
- Butterfree
- Diglett
- Dragonite
- Wooper
- Sneasel
- Kirlia
- Absol
- Shinx
- Croagunk
- Blitzle
- Minccino
As mentioned, all raid monsters also have an increased chance of appearing as Shiny. If you want to obtain them, you should make use of the 3 hours to raid effectively.
What bonuses are there in the event? The event is rounded off with suitable bonuses. You can receive up to 6 free raid passes from gyms. Since you can only hold one free raid pass at a time, you must use it before picking up the next pass from the gym by spinning the gym’s disc.
The remote raid limit will also be increased around the event. From Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 2:00 AM, to Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 5:00 AM, the limit is increased to 20 remote raids per day.
For $4.99 (about 5 €), you can also purchase a ticket for the event. Here are the following contents waiting for you:
- up to 14 raid passes from gyms
- increased chance of XL special candies through raids
- 50% more experience points through raids
- double amount of stardust for raids
Which monsters are particularly worth it? If you are a collector and are looking for rare monsters, then all Pokémon might be relevant for you. The costumed variants of the monsters are generally already rarer in the game. Obtaining them as Shiny is correspondingly difficult.
If you are more focused on strong monsters, then you should concentrate on Dragonite, Sneasel and Kirlia. Dragonite remains a good dragon attacker to this day. Kirlia can evolve into Gardevoir and thus become a strong fairy attacker.
Sneasel can evolve into Weavile. This gives you a good attacker that you can use for both the dark and ice types.
