What kind of event is this? The Community Day happens once a month and always takes place on a weekend. The event typically lasts three hours.
During this time, a specific Pokémon is always in focus, appearing throughout the game and also bringing an increased shiny rate. So it’s the perfect opportunity to catch the shiny variant as well as a strong specimen of the monster.
Who is the event Pokémon? In June, this Pokémon will be Milza. Pokémon GO announced this on Twitter. Milza has long been very hard to obtain and is now finally being made accessible to the masses.
When does the Community Day in June take place? The Community Day with Milza will take place on Saturday, June 10, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. It is the first Community Day of the new season “Hidden Gems”.

Can Milza be shiny? Yes, the shiny variant of Milza has been in the game for some time, but the Community Day is the best opportunity to find it.

What bonuses does the Community Day bring? These bonuses will be available on Community Day:
- If you evolve Milza’s evolution Sharfax into Maxax, Maxax learns the move “Broadside”
- You will receive triple XP for catching Pokémon
- There are double catch candies
- From level 31, you have double the chance to get XL candies when catching
- Lures and incense last for three hours when activated during the event
- Snapshot surprises
- An additional special trade is possible, which makes a total of three on that day
- Trading costs 50% less stardust
- Event stickers at PokéStops, from gifts, and in the shop
- There will be a paid research in the shop that fits the Community Day
After the Community, there will also be special 4-star raids again. There you will fight Sharfax from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. If you defeat it, more Milza will appear around the arena, using the same shiny rate as during the actual event.
However, you can only fight the raid boss on-site; you cannot join the raids with a remote raid pass.
