In Pokémon GO a new update brings some changes. These include adjusted catch rates, which are just right for the upcoming Community Day.
This is what is happening in Pokémon GO: In Pokémon GO, the legendary season has just begun, and the associated update not only affects the spawns.
As the data miners from Pokeminers have found, there are some adjustments to the catch rates in the game’s GameMaster. One of the adjusted Pokémon is Dartiri, which is also the focus of the upcoming Community Day in March.
This is how the catch rate changes: According to the data miners in a post in the Pokémon GO subreddit, Dartiri’s catch rate will be significantly increased. While the rate was previously only at 20%, it has now been raised to 50% (via reddit). This means that the little bird will break out of your Poké Balls significantly less often.
This is how the Community Day improves: Already at the launch of Generation 6, players complained about Dartiri being rather difficult to catch. Now that it will be the event Pokémon on the upcoming Community Day, there were concerns that it could be quite a tough day that would cost many Poké Balls.
Now, with the catch rate adjusted, the Community Day should be much more relaxed than feared. By the way, the catch rates for Dartiri’s evolutions Dartignis and Fiaro have also been adjusted. If you encounter the Pokémon, the rates are as follows:
- For Dartignis, the rate has been raised from 10% to 25%, and the flee rate has been reduced from 10% to 9%.
- Fiaro’s rate was 5% and is now 12.5%. Furthermore, the flee rate is now 5% instead of 10%.
Both Pokémon were not previously found in the wild. It’s possible that these catch rates will become interesting for players who buy the additional research for Dartiri on Community Day. In the past, these researches offered encounters with the event Pokémon’s evolutions.
Even more improved catch opportunities
What other changes are coming? With the bird Pokémon, it’s not over yet. More Pokémon opportunities are set to be adjusted in the new update according to the Pokeminers. These include:
- Gelatini (from 10% to 40%)
- Scoppel (from 20% to 50%)
- Leufeo (from 30% to 40%)
- Pyroleo (from 10% to 20%)
- eF-eM (from 30% to 40%, and the flee rate has also been lowered from 10% to 9%).
Although these changes do not directly affect the Community Day, they should bring joy to players, as the Pokémon can now be caught much easier in the wild. Back in January, there were complaints regarding the catch rates for Gelatini or Scoppel, which some trainers considered unjustified. Now, for example, you can find the bunny monster Scoppel with a green ring in the wild.
Speaking of hard to catch: Raid bosses can also pose their own challenges. You first have to take them down before you can even catch them. Here you can find all raid bosses in March 2021 and which are worth the effort.
