To obtain Ignivor in Pokémon GO, you need to have a lot of patience – and if you want Ramoth, even more. All information about the rare Pokémon.
What kind of Pokémon are they? Ignivor is a Pokémon from the fifth generation and has the relatively unusual type combination of Fire and Bug. It was released in May 2023 in Pokémon GO.
The small Pokémon can evolve into Ramoth, which also belongs to the Bug and Fire types.
However, if you want to evolve the Pokémon in Pokémon GO, you should be prepared for it to take a long time: A total of 400 Ignivor candies are needed to perform the evolution. Given the rarity of the monster, this is a particularly difficult task.
How rare is Ignivor in Pokémon GO?
How to get Ignivor? As of now, Ignivor is neither found in the wild nor in raids. It can only be obtained by hatching eggs.
The problem: Ignivor falls into the rarest category when it comes to hatching. The likelihood of getting other Pokémon from the eggs is therefore much higher. At its introduction, the now-defunct community platform “The Silph Road” even spoke of a hatch rate of barely one percent.
Now and then, some trainers report that the monster hatches a bit more often (like on reddit), but there are currently no exact figures on that. However, it is clear that it is still a very unusual monster that one rarely sees hatching from eggs.
At least: It can hatch from both 2- and 5-kilometer eggs as well as from 10-kilometer eggs.
However, there is no control over what ultimately hatches. The only reliable alternative to obtain Ignivor is trading with another trainer.
This can be worth it, as the Pokémon is not only rare, but also has good capabilities.
How strong is Ramoth in Pokémon GO?
This is the requirement: Ignivor itself is irrelevant in battle, but Ramoth is quite strong. This means: You need to get the candies for the monster. However, since it hatches so rarely, your only option is to walk many kilometers with Ignivor as your buddy, use special candies, or hope to hatch more.
How strong is Ramoth? The reward is a top attacker in Pokémon GO. Ramoth is, apart from the Ultra Beast Schabelle, the best Bug attacker in Pokémon GO. This makes it interesting for raids against monsters of the types Grass, Dark, or Psychic.
And in terms of Fire, Ramoth also holds its own: While there are some Mega evolutions, Crypto monsters, or Legendary Pokémon before it, it is still one of the best Fire attackers you can have.
However, it should be noted that one also needs candies to level up Ramoth – and that, in turn, is challenging.
It can be assumed that Ignivor and Ramoth will become easier to obtain over time. Currently, however, they remain amongst the rarest Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
