In New Orleans, Louisiana, the North American Pokémon Championships (NAIC) are currently taking place, including for Pokémon GO. You can also watch via Twitch and even receive free goodies.
What kind of event is this? The NAIC is an international competition where the best Pokémon players compete against each other. The categories are:
- Pokémon Video Game (Scarlet and Violet)
- Pokémon TCG (Trading Card Game)
- Pokémon UNITE
- Pokémon GO
The best players are not only rewarded with attractive prizes but also receive an invitation to the World Championships, which will take place this year in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Free Code on Twitch
What reward is there? To celebrate the NAIC, you can receive a free code for a limited-time research as a Twitch drop. This allows you to catch the Altaria of MEweedle, the winner of the European International Championships.
How do I get the reward? To obtain the code, you need to watch the NAIC livestream on Twitch for 30 minutes. You also need a Pokémon Trainer Club account linked to your Twitch account. How to do this is explained below.
The streaming times are:
- Friday, June 7: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Saturday, June 8: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Sunday, June 9: 3:00 PM
- Final
How to receive Twitch drops? To get the code, you first need two things:
- A Pokémon Trainer Club Account
- A Twitch Account
You must link these two accounts. This can be done on the official Pokémon site (rewards.pokemon.com).
Now you can start watching the corresponding stream. In the Drops & Rewards menu on Twitch, you can track how long you have watched and how much time you have left.
How do I receive the code? After completing the 30 minutes, you will receive a drop that you can find in the “Inventory” of your Pokémon account (also on rewards.pokemon.com).
