What kind of event is this? Every month, there is a special event day in Pokémon GO: the Community Day. It’s all about a specific Pokémon that spawns more frequently during this time. Additionally, an increased Shiny rate ensures some dazzling encounters.
During the Community Day in November, everything will revolve around the Electric Pokémon Sheinux. You can expect lots of bonuses on this day. Since it is the last C-Day before the Mega Community Day in December, there will be additional bonuses this time.
Community Day in November 2021 – Start time and bonuses
When? Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time
Pokémon of the Day: Sheinux spawns more frequently in the wild during the event
Exclusive Attack: Psychobeißer, when you evolve Sheinux into Luxtra within two hours after the event
Bonuses:
– Incense lasts 3 hours
– Lures last 3 hours
– Eggs hatch four times faster
– 3 times candies for sending
– 4 times chance to receive an XL candy when sending
– 3 free raid passes at gyms (up to two hours after the event)
– 25% less Stardust cost when trading (up to two hours after the event)
On Sunday, you will have 6 full event hours available to catch Sheinux for the Community Day. If you use Incense and Lures during this time, Sheinux will be attracted even more. Playing from home is also possible.
What is available in the in-game shop? The in-game shop also has some special offers for you. You can purchase the following items there:
- free event box with 30 Hyperballs
- Community Day box with 50 Hyperballs, 4 Incense, 4 Star Pieces, and a Premium Raid Pass for 1,280 PokéCoins
- Event ticket for special research “Flicker, Spark, and Glow” with Sheinux for 1 Euro
How to make the most of the Community Day in November
What preparations should you make? As always, you need space in your Pokémon storage to catch the monsters. But be careful: it’s best not to send off the sorted-out Pokémon just yet; hold on to them until the Community Day starts.
This way, you can secure extra candies for the monsters and may also get some XL candies. For better sorting, it’s best to use the tag feature in the game. This will allow you to clean out your monsters before the event, and on C-Day, you only have to send all the Pokémon from that tag.
To do this, just go into your Pokémon storage and click on the “Tag” category. You can create a tag using the plus symbol. By marking the corresponding monsters, you can then assign the respective tag. This will save you a lot of time for the Community Day.
In addition to the free spaces in your Pokémon storage, you should definitely stock up on a good supply of balls. You will need these for catching. If you want to play all day, you should have saved at least 350 balls to avoid having to spin a PokéStop or a gym too quickly.
Which items are important for the C-Day?
Sheinux brings you a special event charge attack for its evolution on this day. If you want to have it, Sheinux must be evolved within two hours after the Community Day. For this, you will need corresponding candies.
It’s advisable to use an Incense or a Lure to attract as many specimens as possible. Additionally, using Nanab Berries while catching will double your candies. With the added candy bonus and the increased chance of obtaining XL candies when sending Pokémon, it’s definitely worth catching as many Sheinux as possible.
Additionally, you should take advantage of the egg bonus. Through the current Sinnoh event, you will receive great monsters from 7 km eggs. However, there’s also some rare specimens hidden in the 10 and 12 km eggs that you can hatch much faster this way. It’s worth using multiple incubators at the same time.
Is the Community Day in November worth it? Shiny and Psychobeißer
How strong will it be: Sheinux belongs to the Electric Pokémon of the 4th generation. It evolves to Luxtra via Luxio. Sheinux and Luxio are not among the strongest monsters in the game. Especially in defense, they are weak.
The final evolution Luxtra, however, can score especially in attack and belongs to the strongest Electric attackers in Pokémon GO. In the PvP league, however, it is not the best candidate according to PvPoke.
With its event attack Psychobeißer, it is also able to weaken the defense of its opponents and is more effective against fighting and poison attackers. In trainer battles, Luxtra deals 40 damage, but only 30 in raids and gym battles.
Is there a shiny Sheinux? Yes, Sheinux can also be obtained in its shiny form in the game. You can recognize it by its golden-yellow body.
Is the event worth it? The Community Day with Sheinux is worth it for many reasons. If you are looking for a strong Electric attacker for use in raids, you should secure a good specimen on this day. And shiny hunters will also get their fill at this event.
But don’t overlook the bonuses either. With the reduced hatching distance, it’s especially worth hatching larger eggs, like 10 or 12 km eggs. Even with just one incubator, you can hatch several during the event.
And the two candy bonuses for sending Pokémon are also really worth it. If you were planning to sort out monsters anyway, you should better wait until the Community Day to make the most of it.
All trainers who are speculating on a lucky Pokémon or want to trade for a special monster should also do this on Community Day. With the reduced Stardust costs, you can trade very cheaply on this day and save a lot of this valuable resource.
