What is limited research? This event series takes place repeatedly in Pokémon GO and focuses on solving quests. As a reward in the quests, there is always a special event Pokémon.
This time, it revolves around Snubbull and the entire event can be played perfectly from home, as you do not need to go outside for the quests.
Limited Research in May – Start Time and Bonuses
When: On Saturday, May 9 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM local time
Pokémon of the Day: Snubbull
Bonus: You will receive over 50 tasks, all including Snubbull as a reward.
Here’s what you need to know about the times: The event lasts a full 14 hours, giving you plenty of time. You can play at your own pace and don’t have to focus on just a few hours.
Make the most of Snubbull Day – Here’s how it works
What you need to know about the quests: You will receive the tasks in the “Today” tab. There, you will find, just like with the Nostalgia Challenge, always 3 tasks along with a reward. All tasks can be easily solved from home.
There are a total of 20 stages to complete. In the end, you will receive a total of 69 Snubbull as a reward. You can find all stages and their rewards in this overview on reddit.
Here’s how to make the best use of the event: You do not need to go outside for limited research. So, relax on the couch and complete the tasks that come in.
Currently, the Johto event is running and there is double Stardust for every captured Pokémon. If you want to take advantage of this bonus, you should at least light some incense from home or take a walk while observing the restrictions in your state.
Shiny Snubbull and Granbull
Will there be Shiny Snubbull? The shiny version of Snubbull is already in the game, and you can also encounter the shiny from the quests.
How rare will the shiny be? So far, shiny chances have always been increased at such events. This is also true for Snubbull.
A precise rate of the shiny chance cannot be provided yet, but if you collect all 69 rewards, you have a good chance of getting a shiny.
