What is the Community Day? This event takes place monthly and always features a special Pokémon in the spotlight. This Pokémon then appears more frequently and you get good opportunities for a Shiny.
In June, it is all about Hornliu. The Pokémon won a poll and that’s why it gets this special day.

When: On Saturday, June 20, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time
Pokémon of the day: Hornliu
Exclusive attack: Drill Run for Beedrill
Bonus: Triple Stardust for catching Pokémon
Bonus: 3-hour Incense
Additional bonus: To learn the exclusive attack, you can evolve Kakuna until 7:00 PM
This is important regarding the times: The Community Day in June lasts a full 6 hours. This is an adjustment due to the Corona crisis, which allows for better play from home.
How to make the most of the Community Day
This bonus is worth it: The triple Stardust when catching Pokémon is particularly good. Therefore, also use Star Pieces, which will grant you even 4.5 times the Stardust.
It’s best to get 12 Star Pieces beforehand so you can use them throughout the entire time.
How to play effectively: Definitely use Incense, as this is incredibly strong on Community Day. It attracts about 90 Pokémon per hour.
In addition, you should use the catch trick , as it allows you to catch Pokémon much faster. This is especially important, as every Pokémon brings you Stardust.
Choose a good location: Your village might not be the best place to play on Community Day. Therefore, travel to a larger location to fully take advantage of the event. But be sure to follow the Corona regulations.
Shiny Hornliu, Kakuna and Beedrill
Is there Shiny Hornliu? During the Community Day, you can catch Shiny Hornliu for the first time. Use the event to secure your Shiny.
What are the chances for Shiny Hornliu? During the event, the Shiny rate will be increased. On Community Day, the Shiny rate is usually about 1 in 25. This is significantly higher compared to the normal Shiny rate of 1 in 450.
Beedrill with Drill Run – Is it worth it?
How strong is the exclusive attack? Beedrill is generally not a strong attacker, and this does not change with Drill Run.
However, if you enjoy playing in the PvP League, you will find it worthwhile. There, Beedrill with Drill Run performs significantly better, but compared to many other Pokémon, it still ranks worse.

How to get the new attack? You need to evolve Kakuna into Beedrill during the event time. You can do this between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
The attack can only be learned through evolution. TMs do not teach this attack. The only exception is the Elite TM.
