How to Make the Most of Community Day
How to Utilize the Bonuses: You get triple catch XP with every Pokémon you catch. To collect XP for leveling up, you should catch as many Pokémon as possible.
The extended incense duration helps with this. If you stack two Incense, you will already cover the entire event duration. So activate the incense around 11 AM – then more Pokémon will appear in your surroundings.
Also, choose a buddy that has at least Great Buddy status. This way, you ensure that you will be supplied with items like Pokéballs during the event.
Good Bonuses for Home: Overall, the bonuses combined with the long duration are well-suited for playing the Community Day from home. You should be able to gather enough Samurzel even if you don’t step outside.
Highlights of the Samurzel Community Day: In addition to the normal event, players can unlock the special research “Double Vision” for one dollar (99 cents in our shop). This revolves around Samurzel and rewards you with three Incense, five Golden Razz Berries, and other rewards.
There should also be surprises during the Community Day when you take GO snapshots. So occasionally snap a photo of your Pokémon.
Shiny Samurzel, Blanas, Tengulist
Can you get Shiny Samurzel? Yes, during the Community Day, you will be able to catch the shiny version of Samurzel. You’ll also be able to obtain Shinys of Blanas and Tengulist.
What are the chances for Shiny Samurzel? Usually, the Shiny chances for the event Pokémon on Community Day are increased. It’s expected to be approximately 1 in 25. Normally, the Shiny rate in the wild is 1 in 450.
Tengulist with Seed Bomb – is it worth it?
How strong is Tengulist with Seed Bomb? Even with the Grass move Seed Bomb, Tengulist does not gain any advantages in raids. Its stats are too low and it is outperformed by the best Grass attackers like Gewaldro and Roserade.
In PvP, Seed Bomb is somewhat useful. In the Great and Ultra League, it is a good fast move for Tengulist. However, Tengulist already has a decent fast move with Standpauke that differs only in typing, speed, and damage.
Thus, the move is not necessarily crucial for the meta. As an exclusive combination, Tengulist with Seed Bomb is a nice addition to your collection. You can find a detailed analysis of the move here.
How do I get the move? To get Tengulist with Seed Bomb, you must evolve Blanas into Tengulist between 11 AM and 7 PM. You have plenty of time to teach it the exclusive fast move.
