The new season in Pokémon GO is starting. It directly brings you an event with a new monster and an increased Shiny chance for 2 strong attackers.
What kind of event is this? The event “Journey to Paldea” is the first event of the new season “Valuable Paths, which starts on December 2, 2025, in Pokémon GO. This event also starts on December 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM. It runs until next Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
How do I get Geosali? The debut of Nacli, the Rock type monster from Generation 9, is also featured. You can catch this monster with some luck in the wild and by completing the field research tasks “Catch 5 different types of Pokémon” and “Use 10 Power-Ups on Pokémon”.
For 25 Nacli candies, you can evolve it into Naclstack, which can further evolve into Garganacl for 100 candies.

Which monsters have an increased Shiny chance? During the event, you have an increased chance of encountering Larvitar and Bagon as Shiny. Both monsters are among the strongest attackers in Pokémon GO in their final evolution. You can find both monsters alternately in the wild.
When are which monsters available in the wild? The Journey to Paldea brings you alternating monsters in the wild, similar to habitats in the 3 major annual events. These will rotate on the respective days of the event. In the following table, you can see when to find each Pokémon.

Which monsters are available in raids? If you want to dive into 3-star raids during the event, you can battle and catch the following monsters:
- Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed) (Iberian Peninsula)
- Paldean Tauros (Blaze Breed) (Eastern Hemisphere)
- Paldean Tauros (Aqua Breed) (Western Hemisphere)
- Bombirdier*
- Dondozo*
Note that you can only find the Blaze Breed of Paldean Tauros in raids within Germany. If you want to obtain the other two variants, you need to remotely join a raid taking place in the corresponding regions of the world.
Monsters marked with * can also appear as Shiny.
What bonuses are there in the event? In addition to the increased Shiny chance for Larvitar and Bagon, you can also enjoy double experience points for winning raid battles and evolutions during the event.
What field research tasks are available in the event? Within the event, there are 3 event field research tasks that you can complete, and for that, you will receive Pokémon encounters as rewards. These are as follows:
