Why Nincada is so special and rare
This is what makes Nincada special: The Bug-type Pokémon has two evolutions. It evolves into Ninjask or Ninjatom. In Pokémon GO, you can only evolve it into Ninjask. Ninjatom has only been available once in the research breakthrough from November.
Nincada is that rare: You cannot find the Pokémon anywhere in the wild. You could only obtain it from eggs or quests so far. This makes it quite rare.
This is how you can currently get Nincada: The only way to currently get Nincada is through the 10 km eggs. It is one of the Pokémon that you can hatch from there.
Currently, there are no other ways. However, it is possible that Nincada will also return through new field research in May or an event in other ways.
Is it worth it to hatch 10 km eggs now? Besides Nincada, you can also find some other interesting Pokémon in the purple eggs. So there is a chance for Shiny Lapras, which is currently in high demand.
