Currently, the big Kanto Tour is happening in Pokémon GO. During the event, 4 regional Pokémon, Tauros, Kangaskhan, Porygon, and Mr. Mime, are available in raids.
What is the Kanto Tour? The Kanto Tour is the big event for the 1st Pokémon generation, currently running on Saturday, February 20. Players who bought a ticket get the chance to catch all the Pokémon from the classic games. Here you can find all spawns of the Kanto Tour.
This includes the regional monsters of the 1st generation. However, they don’t appear in the wild but in 3-star raids – making them accessible to players who did not get a ticket.
These 4 regional monsters are available
In total, there are 4 monsters of the 1st generation that are usually regionally distributed. They are as follows:

- Porygon: Porygon is a Normal and Flying type Pokémon. It is not normally available in Germany, but rather found exclusively in East Asia. At least the Galar version could be caught here some time ago.
- Kangaskhan is also very hard to get in this country, partly because it has rarely been part of any special events. It is normally found in Australia.
- Tauros: Normally, Tauros only appears in North America, but today it is also here in the raids. However, just recently, the buffalo could also be secured during the Lunar New Year event.
- Mr. Mime: Mr. Mime is the fourth regional monster and is probably the least interesting in this country. The mime can usually be found as a wild Pokémon in Europe. Nevertheless, it will be needed for collector challenges.
That’s why regional monsters are worth it: Regionally restricted monsters are rare and hard to obtain outside their usual habitats. However, if you want to complete your Kanto Pokédex, you should secure the monsters while they are available.
