In Pokémon GO you can connect Necrozma by fusing it with Solgaleo and Lunala. How does that work and what are the benefits?
This is fusion in Pokémon GO: There are various Pokémon that can perform fusions with other monsters. Necrozma is the first Pokémon in Pokémon GO that has this option.
- The fusion with Solgaleo transforms it into Necrozma Dusk Mane

How strong is the fusion? Very strong, in both cases.
- Dusk Mane Necrozma is one of the top Steel attackers in Pokémon GO. Steel Aura makes it extremely powerful.
- Dawn Wings Necrozma is one of the best Ghost attackers when using Shadow Ball.
- Additionally, both variants are strong options in the Master League of PvP.
How to use the fusion of Necrozma with Solgaleo and Lunala
What you need: You must own both monsters that you want to fuse. So you definitely need Necrozma, along with Solgaleo or Lunala.
You will also need so-called fusion energy, Necrozma candies, and Cosmog candies.
For Dusk Mane, you need:
- Necrozma
- Solgaleo
- 1,000 Solar Fusion Energy
- 30 Necrozma Candies
- 30 Cosmog Candies
For Dawn Wings, you need:
- Necrozma
- Lunala
- 1,000 Lunar Fusion Energy
- 30 Necrozma Candies
- 30 Cosmog Candies
How do I obtain fusion energy? You can get it at the global GO Fest 2024, when you defeat Necrozma Dawn Wings or Dusk Mane in raids. Additionally, the energy will be available in the special research for the event, for which you will need a ticket.
How do I perform the fusion? Simply select Necrozma and scroll down. There you will find the corresponding options.
How long does the fusion last? The fusion lasts until you manually separate them again. You can do that in the menu of the fusion monsters.
What distinguishes the fusions? Both have a special attack, which also serves as an adventure effect.
Adventure effects of Necrozma Dusk Mane and Necrozma Dawn Wings

Adventure effect of Necrozma Dusk Mane: The attack is called “Steel Aura” and can be activated for 3,000 Stardust and 3 Necrozma Candies. Once activated, it attracts monsters that usually appear during the day. These include:
- Pidgey
- Alolan Marowak
- Sunkern
- Wurmple
- Fomantis
- Bagon
- Mangy, which can evolve into the Dusk form of Lycanroc with luck
- Imantis
Adventure effect of Necrozma Dawn Wings: The attack is called Shadow Ball and also costs 3,000 Stardust and 3 Necrozma Candies when you want to use it. It attracts nocturnal Pokémon, including:
- Alolan Rattata
- Clefairy
- Alolan Marowak
- Hoothoot
- Galarian Zigzagoon
- Lunatone
- Somantung
- Amarino
- Mangy, which can evolve into the Dusk form of Lycanroc with luck
