In Pokémon GO the event “Hisui Discoveries” starts in a few days, bringing several new Pokémon. MeinMMO shows you what they are and what other contents to expect.
What kind of event is this? The event, originally announced as a surprise event, now has a name: Hisui Discoveries. The focus will be on the Pokémon of the Hisui region. For this reason, a few new monsters will also make their debut in the game:
- Hisui-Fukano
- Hisui-Baldorfish
- Hisui-Sniebel
You can, of course, also look forward to numerous other spawns and special bonuses. We have summarized what they are for you below.
When does the Hisui event take place? The event starts on July 27, 2022, at 10:00 AM local time and runs until August 2, 2022, at 8:00 PM local time.
These are the new Pokémon for the Hisui event
With the start of the Hisui event, three new Pokémon will celebrate their debut in Pokémon GO: Hisui-Fukano, Hisui-Baldorfish, and Hisui-Sniebel. You already know their forms from the Kanto and Johto regions, as these have been available in the game for a long time. Now their Hisui forms will finally be available.
Hisui-Fukano: Just like its Kanto version, Hisui-Fukano belongs to the fire-type Pokémon in the game, but can also be categorized as the rock type. It can also evolve into Hisui-Arkani. You can recognize the new regional form primarily by its long, fluffy white mane.
Hisui-Baldorfish: Hisui-Baldorfish is a Pokémon of the dark and poison types. Unlike its Johto form, it can evolve into the Pokémon Myriador in the main game Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which comes from the 8th generation.
This is only possible there with the 20-time use of the attack Poison Sting Rain. However, whether and how Niantic will implement the evolution of the dark and poison Pokémon is currently unknown. You can recognize Hisui-Baldorfish by its charcoal and cream-colored body and the pink decorations on its spines.
Hisui-Sniebel: Sniebel is also known from the Johto region. Just like Fukano and Baldorfish, it has a form from the Hisui region. This form, unlike its Johto form, belongs to the fighting and poison types.
Hisui-Sniebel can also evolve into Snieboss. It is still unknown whether and how this will be implemented in Pokémon GO. You can recognize Hisui-Sniebel by its white body and purple decorations.

In addition to the three new Pokémon, you can also encounter numerous other monsters at the Hisui event. These spawn in the wild, hatch from 7 km eggs, or can be found in raids.

Of course, you can also expect one or another bonus during the Hisui event. You can even improve this by completing the global challenge during the GO Fest in Seattle. You can look forward to the following bonuses regardless:
- Collector Challenge
- Reward: Egg incubator, experience points (XP), and stardust
- Event field research
- Rewards: Encounters with Piepi*, Paras*, Enton*, Magnetilo*, Feurigel*, Sniebel*, Remoraid*, Mantax*, Sheinux*, Burmy (Plant Cloak*, Sand Cloak*, and Trash Cloak*), Ottaro*, Lilminip, Bauz
- Hisui Cup in the GO Battle League
- Use of Pokémon from the Hisui region or with Pokédex numbers #387 to #493
- Pokémon must have a maximum of 1,500 CP
- Event stickers from PokéStops, gifts, and in the shop
- New avatar items reminiscent of the main characters from Pokémon Legends: Arceus
What additional bonuses you can expect as part of the Hyper Bonus by completing the global challenge is currently unknown. Only a raid day on July 31 has been teased by Pokémon GO. Once Niantic publishes further information, we will update this accordingly.
