In Pokémon GO, we might soon expect new ghost Pokémon! We will show you which Pokémon they are and why they might be coming soon.
New Pokémon for Halloween? Last year, Niantic used the Halloween event to release the first Pokémon from the third generation. Now the 4th generation has been introduced with a trailer. Trainers suspect that the first Pokémon from the Sinnoh region will be released on Halloween 2018.
So far, this theory is pure speculation. Niantic has not yet announced whether new Pokémon will actually appear at Halloween. Nevertheless, we present to you the ghost Pokémon of the 4th generation here. This way, you will be prepared as soon as they are activated.
The Ghost Pokémon of the 4th Generation
We now show you the ghost-type Pokémon from the 4th generation and reveal which of the Pokémon are useful and which monsters are only important for the Pokédex. The stats have been taken from Gamepress.
Driftloon & Drifblim

Driftloon and its evolution Drifblim is the only ghost family from the 4th generation. Here we briefly introduce Drifblim.
- Max CP: 2387
- Features: The ghost Pokémon with the highest HP in the game.
- Usability: Drifblim doesn’t reach high battle points, but it might become interesting due to its HP value.
Drifloon

Drifloon is the evolution of Drifloon from the 2nd generation. It probably requires 50 candies for evolution.
- Max CP: 2465
- Features: Very good attack value and also a reasonable defense value
- Usability: Drifloon could become interesting as a ghost attacker. Its attack value is just below that of Gengar and due to its defense value, it could withstand significantly more damage.
Kryppuk

Kryppuk is a Pokémon with no evolutions. This Pokémon does not receive any evolutions in further generations.
- Max CP: 1802
- Features: It has no special battle values
- Usability: Kryppuk is unlikely to attract much attention. Its values are average and its battle points don’t promise much.
Zwirrfinst

Zwirrfinst is the evolution of Zwirrklop from the 3rd generation. In the console games, this Pokémon could be evolved with the help of a special item.
- Max CP: 2046
- Features: The ghost Pokémon with the highest defense value in the game.
- Usability: Zwirrfinst has a very high defense value, but unfortunately also few battle points. To be used effectively, this Pokémon needs to be able to reach higher CP.
Frosdedje

Frosdedje is the evolution of Schneppke. Schneppke evolves either into Frosdedje or into Firnontor, which is already in the game. In console games, only female Schneppke evolved into Frosdedje. Whether this will also be the case in Pokémon Go remains to be seen. Schneppke could also be caught in its shiny form, so Frosdedje will likely also have a shiny form.
- Max CP: 1857
- Features: It has no special battle values
- Usability: Frosdedje, like Kryppuk, has no special values and will therefore likely be more of a Pokémon for collecting.
Rotom

Rotom is a Pokémon that can take on various forms. It can take on forms of electrical appliances. Whether these forms are directly obtainable is unknown.
- Max CP: 1767
- Features: It has no special battle values
- Usability: Rotom will also be more of a Pokémon for collecting. Its values are only average.
Legendary Ghost Pokémon: In addition, there is the legendary ghost Pokémon Giratina from the fourth generation. When it will come into the game is still unknown. We will introduce it separately for you if it is activated as a raid boss.
Whether the suspected max CP will remain the same is still unclear. Niantic will be adjusting the balance in the game in the coming weeks and will also address the CP values.
New Halloween event hinted: In line with the theory that new Pokémon will appear at Halloween, Niantic hinted at a Halloween event last week.
