In Pokémon GO, the upcoming Raid Boss has been announced. Heatran will return to the raids. This legendary Pokémon is particularly worthwhile for shiny hunters. We will tell you why.
When will Heatran appear? Starting from August 21st, which is this Friday, Heatran will appear in level 5 raids from 10:00 PM. It will remain available until September 10th at 10:00 PM. You have several weeks to battle it. This means that Genesect will be replaced, which is currently still available.
Heatran has been found multiple times in legendary raids. Now it returns once again.

- Defense: 213
- HP: 209
- Max CP: 3754
Purely from the stats perspective, Heatran isn’t bad at all. The problem lies mainly in its moves. Unfortunately, Heatran doesn’t learn the best fire moves, making competitors significantly stronger even though they have comparable stats.
Are the raids worth it? In terms of usefulness, Heatran is less valuable. There are significantly better fire attackers, making Heatran more of a second choice. However, it’s not incredibly bad either.
Heatran can be shiny, making the raids even more interesting. If you didn’t get a shiny from the last visit of the legendary Pokémon, you can now try your luck again.
So, if you are hoping for a strong fire attacker, you will be disappointed, but if you are still looking for the shiny, you should seize your chance.
Will there also be raid hours? In general, there is a raid hour every Wednesday in Pokémon GO. Therefore, it can be expected during Heatran’s time.
You will have the opportunity to participate in 3 raid hours with Heatran, and the chances are good that you will get a shiny, provided you participate in all raid hours.
