In Pokémon GO players can no longer submit PokéStops for a few days now, but what seemed to be a small problem turned out to be quite significant.
What is going on with the submissions? Five days ago, on September 26, Niantic tweeted that they had to disable PokéStop submissions. So no new Stops can be submitted anymore.
Some players believed that this was just a short-term issue, but so far there have been no updates and the feature is still down.
What is behind the removal of the feature
Why is the function down? Niantic explained in their tweet that there is a problem with the photo function. This is, of course, necessary when one wants to submit a Stop. Because of this, they temporarily shut down the function.
Now, however, various trainers are waiting for news regarding the issue. For 5 days there have been no updates, and the function remains lost.
There are generally problems: It is possible that the photo function is not the only issue Niantic needs to fix. Many trainers report that their submissions are not being processed at all.
A trainer from Argentina even reports on Reddit that none of their submissions have gone through for 7 months. Their city has not received a new PokéStop, even though there are many places that meet the guidelines for a Stop.
But frustration is also great in Germany. In our Facebook group, players repeatedly report that they have had no success with their submissions. Other trainers, however, have no problems with it.
