In Pokémon GO a new bonus is active after the big raid challenge. You should take advantage of it while you can – because it will soon be inactive again.
What kind of bonus is this? In Pokémon GO, you currently receive double the amount of Stardust for every Pokémon you catch. This is quite useful, as Stardust is one of the most important resources in the game: You use it to give your Pokémon power-ups or teach them a new move.
How long does the bonus last? If you look at the map of the game, there is a small new display in the upper right corner showing the duration of the bonus. It ends on Monday, April 18th, at 1:00 PM. So you have time to take advantage of the bonus until then.

How to maximize the bonus
How to farm Stardust even faster with the bonus: If you want to make the most of the effect, you should also equip a Star Piece. You can get this in the shop, for example. With an active Star Piece, you receive even more of the resource for 30 minutes. Tips on how to get more Stardust can be found in our guide.
It’s also a good idea to use incense when you play for a limited time: More Pokémon appear to catch, which in turn can earn you Stardust.
It’s worth heading out with a mostly empty Pokémon box. This way you won’t run into the situation where you have to sort out monsters while catching because the box is full. Especially when you’ve activated a time-limited item like the Star Piece or incense, it’s frustrating not to be able to keep catching consistently.
Speaking of items: The developers recently warned about Lucky Eggs.
Confusion about incorrect timer on bonus display
What is the problem? If you look at the “Today” view of Pokémon GO, a timer is displayed that indicates the end of the bonus for Sunday at 1:00 PM. However, this is a visual error, as confirmed by Niantic Support on Twitter. The correct duration of the bonus remains Monday at 1:00 PM.
Why is this bonus even available? During the Rivals Week, trainers in Pokémon GO had to complete a total of 40 million raids together. This global challenge has now been completed and the bonus is active.
The next event is the “Environment Week” in Pokémon GO. There you can encounter a new Shiny as well as a new monster from Generation 6.
